At 400
Of course with this one it looks like every player is #9. But then that might be the PR gimmic of the club. The team where every player is #9. On cap day, every 9th fan gets an official team travel mug with a their cap. Every 9th run the team scores they shoot fireworks. There's a 9th inning stretch. Every 9th seat is painted red instead of green. You buy 8 hot dogs and get the 9th one free. Every 9th game day is Bill Veeck Day.

By the way, the uniforms are beautiful...not just Marston, but all of them...I am very, very pleased with your work. I am glad you are doing them. |

A thread to get ideas about these teams isn't a bad idea. When doing the uniforms, I give each team the "personality" that I see in the logo and try to come up with something that visually might match it. After all, every MLB team through the decades has had a group personality (sometimes just PR, sometimes real) and, you know, you can see it reflected sometimes in the uniforms they wore. (Also helps me not repeat the visual same idea over and over.) As for the Marston 9's, I just though "What would Bill Veeck do with that idea?" ..... |
