FIBB has an opening

What are we? Fictional teams with real MLB players that started with the 2003 Rocco's rosters. We did a 'fantasy draft' into 24 teams placed around the World before we began the 2003 season. We have since had two expansions. One up to 28 teams and then another to 30 teams where we will remain forever. We are now in early 2012 - just beginning our 10th season. So, yes, there are MLB'ers around, but as you know the longer you go forward the more fictional things become. We have a program where each owner creates a "Local Hero" every season as an amateur to continue to infuse the FIBB player base with a more international flare. It has been very successful.

What team is open? We have 4 teams that remained in North America with the dissolvement of the MLB in our little universe. One of those is the recently very successful Los Angeles Quakes. We may have one more team soon coming open as well.

Why would you join? I am not gonna go salesman on you and claim we are the most active league or we have the best owners or we are the longest running or that we have never had a delayed sim, etc. I will say that we have a very tight-knit community and extremely active messageboard that averages well over 100 posts per day. The FIBB is really an online community as well as a very competitive OOTP6 baseball league. Oh, we've never missed a sim either.

What else? We have tons of neat features like an enhanced gamepage that reads off the BOSI data and gives us super nice financial reports, player development reports, sortable statistical reports, positional rankings, etc. B/c we are such a high activity league we have very deep roster management features in our league and take advantage of all the OOTP6 goodness like waivers, the DFA, 40-man roster, Rule 5 plus we have added our own RFA system. Deep league.

Who are we looking for? Newbie, veteran, yellow-skinned Martian we do not care. All we are looking for are guys with a passion for online baseball and OOTP who want to get very involved in a deep, active league / community. We do have some writing requirements and exporting requirements. We are not a casual league and that is certainly not for everyone, but if you are looking for this kind of thing we do it very well.

How do you join? Head over to the forums and register. Then please post a new thread in the New Applicants section answering this little Q&A.

Thanks for checking us out, don't be shy!
Joel

Although I am in no-way related to this league I can recommend it. As a fellow commish I have some good other leagues bookmarked, and this is one of them!

Bumping, because I am that kind of guy. And in the thousands of leagues I've seen or been a part of, this is one of the absolute best. You owe it to yourself to check out the FIBB.

Absolutely, hands-down, the best-run league I have ever been associated with. Great owners, great management, great concept... if you like OOTP, you'll love the FIBB!

You know Joel, I'd be there if I had time to write anything worthy that would meet the league standards. With that said, if you are looking for a terrific league, with some great GM's and features, the FIBB is definitely one to check out....you wont be disappointed.

Even though I've taken my share of lumps in this league and much deserved now that i look back at it but I will say that if you love OOTP and online leagues you will love this league. You have a great group of guys who are competitive and know the game very well. Many nice features are also found in this league and most important don't find the writting requirements scary. If you have time to write an email you have to time to write a small article.
You'll have a great time so don't miss out.

Dre

We have no 'league writing standards'. The writing is about doing it, not being great at it. Sure some are better than others, but I don't grade papers, just reward based on the participation. Your stuff was definitely up to snuff, Uzi. You were harder on yourself than anyone else was on you!
