SO49 Opening...

The Summer of '49 Baseball League, currently in 1951 has a recent opening for which we are accepting applications. The team is the St.Louis Cardinals...

The Cards are managed by Eddie Dyer and feature star hitter Stan Musial as well as young talent like Gus Bell and Gil McDougald. The pitching corps features one of the NL's elite hurlers, Harry "The Cat" Brecheen (who is off to a flaming start in 1951, his brilliant work has the Cards only 3 back of the NL's top spot...)

If interested, please send a brief list of experience and why you are interested to:

If you like realistic, historical leagues, this is about as good as it gets... openings are rare, and for good teams like the Cardinals, almost unheard of.

Yup they are rare. This was the first OOTP league I was ever in. Beenin a whole bunch since, and the measuring stick remains SO49. The commish is great, and the owners active. If you have any interest in joining an OOTP league, def. check this one out!

I have to agree with these gentlemen--- The SO49 is a great league with a great commish. This opening is a rarity and if you are in for the long haul, are an active owner, and love baseball-- This league is for you! Jim
