How do I get real rosters?
Hey, I'm new to OOTP. First question is can I import real players and rosters into the game. Jeter on the Yankees, who play in Yankee Stadium etc..
Second, if I can, how? The only thing I've tried is the Lahman Version 5.1 files, but everytime I try to import them when creating a historical league it either says the path is no good or it has an error and experiences "abnormal termination". How do I get the real players? |

Roster sets can found and downloaded from http://www.ootpdownloadcenter.com
When you get it on your hard drive, move it into your game folder and just open it up like a saved league and play. As for the databases, I don't do historical, so someone else could help you there.

You most certainly can. Your best bet is the MLB 2004 All-in-one installer, available at Joe Rock's wonderful www.ootpdownloadcenter.com . That installs ballparks, facepacks, logos and real rosters into the game. I'm pretty sure Eriq said he was working on a 2005 one as we speak.
There are a whole ton of roster sets, images, ballparks etc. at the download center. Have a browse! And welcome to the greatest game ever coded! |

With the database thing, you might be best downloading Ankit's from the download center. Then unzip it into a folder on your HD called c:/stats . Specify this on the create historical league, then specify the year, and you should be away!

Not working either. I have the MLB 2004 full packge downloaded and unzipped. When I go to "open league" in OOTP6, it shows up but when I click on it the program immidiately has an error and experiences abnormal termination. What am I doing wrong?
