Thinking of getting OoTP6, but have a concern

My main concern is, will I be able to get up to date rosters for this season? I sure hope so, cuase this game looks really good to me, and Im pretty much dien to play it, but if I cant have up to date rosters, thats a deal killer : (.

I encourage you to get it! Current rosters are easy to find each year but you will yourself doing all sorts of other great things with the game...historical replays, fictional leagues, and so on.

Get the game. If up to date rosters is all the holding you back there is no reason not to get it. As the season gets closer there will probably be a few different roster sets to choose from. Check out the mods forum for all sorts of goodies people have created.

When you first install the game, do I need to download every patch or just the latest one?

The zip file should have everything in a folder called "Toadfreak MLB 2005.lg"

Move that folder into your OOTP6 folder (C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP6

Then start the game, hit 'continue league', then via the file menu choose 'open league' and "Toadfreak MLB 2005" should be in there.

those roster you made? are they yours?

the readme says

"This is a 2004 current roster set as of 11-2-04 for OOTP 6. Other versions of this roster (including an OOTP 5 roster set) can be found at my site www.simleaguecentral.com. A special thanks to OOTPdownloadcenter.com and www.baseballsimcentral.com for also hosting versions of my roster set. Another Thank you to Eriqjaffe for promoting my roster set in his installer program! Thanks guys!"

"Mike Lambert
www.simleaguecentral.com
duckfart76@cebridge.net
AOL-Halofan26"

first of all how can you take his roster and not give him any credit at all.
plus there not the latest roster for ootp 6 to get.

that not cool at all.

Also halofan has an updated roster since that date above and plans to have another one release close to opening day.

goto the mod forum and get halofan latest updated 2005 roster.

No, I admitted that I began with halofan's roster as a base, but then added and deleted players, updated transactions, changed nearly every player's ratings. I also thanked halofan several times in posts if you'd like to look for them. You have to start with some kind of base.

Download my new update off of OOTP download center.com. It's up to date as of yesterday.

If you don't prefer my roster set, that's okay. Halofan does a great job as well. It's just I wanted to get ratings a little more accurate (in my opinion of course) and a lot of people have said they like my set.

Thanks for your interest!

And thank you halofan again for giving me such a great base! I appreciated using your rosters the past two years.

Woah, that is too cool that you can get thrown out of games and then have to watch on the sidelines with no say in how the game is run!!
