Logo Hell---need help

The last time I messed with this, I had to re-download the game.

I've downloaded the proper logos---in .bmp format, all in the proper numbering order, yet it still does not read the logos. Where I am confused is this: I have Extracted all of the files, but they show up first in a small folder---when I click on the small folder (which shows four logos on the outside), I then see all of the logos in perfect order, all in my league logo file. I've looked at this back and forth a hundred times but I'm missing something. I read the tutorial but my game is not reading the logos and it seems to be in the right path. Arghhhh!!!

Any advice for a novice at all of this file changing/path labeling stuff?

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

You should not have a folder in your league logo folder. It should just be logo1.bmp to logo30.bmp. Usually when they don't show up they are in jpg format.

How many KB are your logos? They may be jpegs but with the extension just changed to bmp without converting the files. What I normally do if I find the logos I like I just do a copy of them to the create folder and let the game assign them for all my leagues that use the standard create.

Again, just check the size in KB and if the logos are under 66kb then they are probably jpeg.... jpeg logos will appear as about 4-8K

Yes, they have to be .bmp files, named/numbered correctly, and they must be in that particular league's LOGOS folder. If you need to convert some .jpgs to .bmps, get Irfanview, it does it easily and it's free - www.irfanview.com to get it.

Thanks but need a little more help

Thanks both of you for your quick replies. Unfortunately, I'm still not there yet. I need some cyber PC consulting.

I can confirm that:

1) The logo packs I downloaded are from a suggested site and are definately .bmp format and not .jpeg

Let me slow it down since I'm an idiot at this stuff:

The first folder I have is:
C:\programfiles\out of the park developments\OOTP6\my new league.lg

Below that is a list of other folders including "Logos"

If I double-click on logos, the address reads:

C:\programfiles\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP6\my new league.lg\LOGOS

If I double click on that---it lists all of the logos---logo1, logo2, etc. Does it look right? Now reads:

Crogramfiles\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP6\my new league.lg\LOGOS\a4572 70-80's Logos. Each logo I open looks fine.

My game is not reading this. Does this show any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

that is wrong if thats what it says, that path is right \LOGOS in your league directory. but the logos will be called logo1..logo2.. etc etc etc. You can see what logo file is needed for each team by looking in the team setup for each club. They cant be called anything but "logox.bmp". The easiest way to do this is to find what logo is needed for a team, rename it to what the game wants if necessary and copy it into your logo folder.. rinse and repeat until finished. Also my logos are all 150x150 and about 67kb in size.. not sure how much it matters but make sure yours are also of a similar size.

Follow up help???

Thanks for your continued patience Aordolin and everyone else.

The major confusion I have is that I think I'm confusing "folders" for "files".

My folder again reads:

C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP6\my new league.lg\LOGOS

Below that address bar, I have what I can best describe as a sub-folder, also with a manila folder icon, which contains all of my logos. Witht the folder icon next to it, it reads:

a4572 70-80's Logos.

Click on that and it lists my logos 1-26. When you say to "re-name" them, am I renaming the folder? When I try to re-name each logo---it won't allow me to use symbols, so I know I'm renaming in the wrong place. Where and what do I re-name so the game reads it? I'm so annoyed with my incompetency right now. This is obviously my first experience at all of this.

Thanks,

In Windows Explorer, make sure you can see all the folders in the left-hand column. If you can't click on the little open folder icon in the toolbar.
Open the a4572 70-80's Logos folder.
Drag a selection box around all the logo files and then drag them into the LOGO folder in the left hand column. (See attachment)
After you drop them there, everything should work fine.
