LOHO is looking for owners!
LEAGUE OF HIS OWN (LOHO)
LOHO is looking for two new owners for the current 2006 season. The league has been in existence for 8 years and is very well run by dedicated commissioner Bob Savard. The league was recently been reset, and re-started with the real 2004 rosters. 2006 will be the third season of the league. The previous league ran for 20 seasons before being reset by a league vote. All the owners have input into how the league is to run. In our inaugaral season the Chicago Cubs ended the curse of the Billy Goat and defeated the Anaheim Angels 4-3 in the World Series. In our second season the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the surging Chicago White Sox in the World Series. We are currently conducting our Free Agent Period for the 2006 season. Go to www.loho-ootp-online.com to visit the website. If you are interested in joining the league, please contact savard@rogers.com or contact me at bigdaddyshag@aol.com, Include your name, e-mail address, any previous leagues, and a list of teams in preference order. As of right now, there are TWO teams available. The open team in the American League is the Texas Rangers and the open team in the National League is the San Francisco Giants. Please contact either Bob or myself if you are interested in the league. We look forward from hearing from you.

Two Teams Opened Up!!!
The available teams are:
The Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants. Here is a briefing of each team: The Texas Rangers have a great hitting team but their starting pitching is weaker than some other teams in their division. They have a solid Minor League system with one of the best pitching prospects in the game. The previous owner didn't make many trades in his two seasons with us, the core of the team: Blalock, Tiexera, etc... is still there. Alfonso Soriano & Michael Young jrecently left via Free Agency. The Rangers finished 82-80 in 2005 after making the playoffs the previous year. The previous owner of the team left the league because as he cited he went from first to last in just one season, and feels he can't compete with the pitching heavy teams like Seattle & Anaheim. Keep in mind that the worst team in the AL West in 2005 (Seattle), went from one of the worst teams in the league to playing in the AL Championship, so if you are an active owner, you can turn this team around right away. The San Francisco Giants play in a weak division, so anything is possible. They finished 2005 at 69-93, but they were only 11 games back. The Dodgers won the division with a losing record. An active owner can get this team to the playoffs right away. The Giants have a decent hitting team led by Ichiro Suzuki (RF) and a solid core of good young pitchers. If you are interested in joining the league, please send an e-mail to the commissioner. Contact Robert Savard at savard@rogers.com if you have interest in this league. The teams will go fast.

It's a good league that is run by a dedicated commish!
I had a fallout with the league my first time around but I have found that with a new crop a GM's it has made this league a very enjoyable one and always cound on the commish doing a good job with the sims. The commish is open to suggestions that will improve the league and is someone you can count on when you need an opinion on somethin. I highly recommend the league if you're lookin for a league that requires no writting of any sort. Dre Chicago WhiteSox |
