I've noticed most the time you start a draft and draft someone over the age of 35 %40 of the time they will email you on the first day about retirement. What is the average age you would say a player could announce retirement at?
Also I've notice on some rating's the "talent rating" may say Good but then when you investigate on the player the rating is only a 3. What number would you say is average and what would be a good number to aim for. That's all.

"Talent" = potential(how good or bad he "may" become.
"Rating" = his current ability.

question...can talent increase?
i thought i saw Nick Johnson go from a Good in hitting to a Brilliant during the Offseason. i cant remember if it was that way before or if he did improve. However, I did sign a new scout so maybe that has something to do with it. BUT he is a 7 in hitting which is a Good in hitting and he still has room for improvement being that this is only his second year. so??? did he improve talent wise??? or is it just my scout? by the way i had Cashman (excellent in hitting) and now Jocketty (above average) |

Talent can increase. This is what is reported in player development, as opposed to ratings increases.
