So in the begining you look for your coaches looking for the best possible choice and usually have to have a high bid to get a above average one but what does a coach really do in the game? Would you pitchers/hitters actually improve over time if your coach is better or would they just stay even with there high points and low points?

Coaches do improve your players. There is a benefit to having good ones.

I try to get Brilliant with all my coaches. Of course, I pay thru the nose 1,250 mil for 5 or 6 years for each but I feel the coaches are worth every dollar.

I usually pay $1.08M/3 years for my "stud" coaches.

I refuse to be outbid for a "brilliant" minor league manager. They cost a lot less than marquee free agents. It's cheaper to develop your own all stars.
