Is there another way of doing it?

I backup my league file by copying it and pasting on my desktop. Is there other ways? (stupid question I know)

if you restore the in-game backup, you'll lose your almanacs.

Yes, I would recommend against using the in-game backup and restore functions as there are certain files that don't restore exactly as they were.

Copy & Paste? Why not use WinZip? That will have the added bonus of making the league backup take up a heck of a lot less space on your hard drive.

So what are the files we should be copying and setting aside for our "backups?".

The easiest way is to just zip up the entire league folder. You can remove logos, pictures, etc. depending on your preference.
