The OLS had a hardware failure yesterday and our provider moved the complete server data to another server, repaired the server, and moved the data back then.
There is no backup of 9/4/2002, but from 9/3/2002 and from 9/5/2002 early in the morning. I asked them to check that 9/5/2002 backup, if the files are from that day and not from 9/2/2002 (like all the files on the server are at the moment) they will use that backup to restore the whole server. Otherwise they will use the backup from 9/3/2002. Please accept our apologies! I will keep you posted. |

Any new developments on this front? It'd be nice to get back down to the business of getting down.

Man, this is getting BEYOND old.
I mean I can't complain THAT much because the servers are free to the leagues, but I'm sure they're not free to the OOTP team and not having any league action is killin me. Any word on the status? |

I'm blaming the co who runs the SERVER not the OOTP team, and one weekend to a company who runs a internet SERVER is a VERY long time to have it down. I know OOTP4 team has NOTHING to do with this.

Hurray, we're online again!
You are right, the server was down for almost FIVE days now, and that's much to long. I interviewed the provider, who by the way is quite expensive, and asked him how this can happen. The technician sent me a detailled mail and described that the RAID controller had error messages and that they changed the controller and the harddisks therefor. He wrote me that this works without problems usually and with only two short offline times, but this time they had some other additional problems. As I say: hardware is evil! Well, I will write them a letter now and tell them that this is not what I hoped to get.
Please report any errors or problems to me. Let's hope there will be no more problems like this one. Thank you all for your understanding and please accept our apologies! |

I was able to update mine (cbl.ootp-leagues.com), however the speeds were drastically slower... as in, 2-3k per second (as opposed to between 50 and a 100 usually).

Everything appears to be back in order at nbslnet.com. I'll double-check when I get home from work.

CUBL uploaded fine.. just very slow..... 14 kb/s compared to 100 -150 on some occassions. This could be because everyone is uploading at the same time. Maybe tonight it'll be a bit better.

Slow upload
I've just tried to upload a file to the CUBL domain and it worked with > 18 KBps. I wanted to be sure that there is no problem with the server no more, so I uploaded the same file to the second dedicated server where the .400 domain resides, and the speed was the same. Do you still have this bad upload speed?
