The Cincinnati Reds have also become available. This league features 1946 rosters with a very realistic financial system and transaction rules. Check it out http://pwbl1.tripod.com

We have many active owners who make this league a great one. We are starting our first season on Wednesday, so try to get a team soon so you can start the season right.

The PWBL is a historic league set in the 1946 season. The players have returned from the front lines to continue their heroics on the diamonds of America. Our second sim is set to commence tonight and the Tigers and Phillies franchises are open at the moment for committed individuals in search of a superb league in its infancy.

We are almost done with the month of April in our first season. The Tigers are only 5.5 games back with plenty of games to go. I am sure with a little guidance they can be a contender. The Phillies are only 5 games out in the National League and can very well take the league with no teams really jumping out to a huge lead. We have active owners who are in this for the long run. So at least take a look at our site www.pwbl1.tripod.com and hopefully we can fill up this promising young league.

Ripped from the PWBL headlines.
Feller Missing
CLEVELAND (AP)-Cleveland Indians GM Scott Cadwell called an impromptu press conference today to issue a rare plea for public assistance. "Someone has kidnapped Bob Feller," announced Cadwell to a stunned crowd, "We need your help. We are working with the authorities, but they have very few leads. This is top priority, our search for the man who stole our bats has been put on hold." Team officials had attributed Feller's struggles (0-6, 6.54) to a general malaise which accompanied the teams 8-22 start. They became suspicious, though, after an 18-1 loss to the Red Sox over the weekend. Feller (26-15, 2.18 in 1945) started that game, but failed to reach the fourth inning for the third consecutive start. After investigating, the front office concluded a look-alike imposter has been taking the mound each week. "We were absolutely horrified. This is not the type of thing you expect to happen to your ace pitcher, a man who served his country faithfully in the War," said Assistant GM Bill Clifton, "If there is a ransom demand to be made, please, let it be made. We need Robert back." Those with possible information about this crime are encouraged to call 1-800-FIND-BOB, a special hotline setup at the Cleveland Police Department. Cadwell said the imposter-Feller will remain in the rotation for the near future, due to a lack of major league ready starters. By Scott Cadwell (Indians GM) The PWBL has two openings for active GM's interested in playing in one of baseball's golden ages. Detroit with Hammerin' Hank Greenberg and the Phillies with Schoolboy Rowe are the two clubs in need of guidance.
