Need an Online League Site?

Does your league need it's own website? Want something cool that represents you well but won't cost you a fortune? Well maybe i can help. I'm a web designer based in Harrisburg, PA who loves OOTP and i'm willing to do you a favor. If you want your own league site, and can get your members to chip in a few bucks i'll custom design you a site. For $50 bucks which is next to nothing if you have 20-30 teams etc. I'll put you a site template together and help you get it setup. Just contact me, everything can be done through paypal and you'll have what you need to stand out compared to the rest of the leagues on here.

For an example of a league site i setup check out:

My online portfolio is also available at:

contact me with questions etc: pixelfader@stillframestudios.com

Stiff price when some people are willing to do it for free.

Interesting, well then go with the freebies. I do design for a living and don't mind doin this because i like OOTP but a custom design site isn't a freebie from my end...no sweat. You may want to look into one of those free designers to help with your site, it kind of hurts my eyes...lol

Well, just to let you all know that site that he set up is a content management system, he didn't make the whole site design only the logo part, one of my good friends onefreak (Mike) made that theme for PHP-Nuke Platinum and all he did was the splash page where it says enter and the logo, It only takes about 20 minutes to set that all up, so it's kinda of a ripp off.

Hell of a deal there, pay $50 for a top banner and PHP-Nuke or you could install Nuke yourself for free. I wonder which one I'd choose...

While I agree,
he setup a PHP-Nuke or Post-Nuke site, which is not too hard...
"All" he did was setup a banner and a splash page, and setup the option of the nuke site...

HOWEVER, the banner can take quite a bit of time
Setting up the nuke site correctly, while not hard, takes some time, esspecially fi you're going to use your own custom template

Since I do web design myself as well, I would not spend the money to have somebody set-up a site for me.

But I do think that somebody who isn't as artistic as pixelfader, or who doesn't have much experience with HTML/Nuke, that $50 is a bargin, concidering what a good web developer charges.

But if you think you can setup one just as nice yourself, or get someone else to create one for free, then by all means, go ahead and do it yourself...

But let's not turn this thread into a flame war. Pixel is offering to help people out with their sites, he seemingly knows what he is doing, and has a good eye, and $50 is really not much money... Simply stating that the site he showed is done in Nuke, and that others could possibly do the same for free is enough, there is no reason to bash him ot keep harping about it...

Well i didn't think offering to do something cool for someone for basically nothing was gonna blow up like this. I guess I'll keep my ideas to myself from now on as now i know just how many *******s post to this forum. Was offering to do this for folks that don't know how to do PHPNuke or a custom HTML set of pages that is not PHP Nuke. I've seen alot of the league sites around and most don't get the job done all that well, was just offering to help.

It's kind of stupid for you to even think i'd spend a ton of hours to develop a custom content management application for $50 bucks man. The company i work for bills me at $125/hr. This is just about helping out people who can't do it and want their own leagues. It's just me taking the stuff that's easy to mod and config and doing something descent for leagues that need it.

This isn't a professional venture, it's merely for recreation. And yes, $50 may not be much in the real word but "help" usually comes free here.

Well my bad then. Let's just drop it, had no idea this would piss so many As%H0les off. I won't offer any kind of services or help again. Thanks for proving a long upstanding point. Offer anything to anyone on the web trying to be of assistance and they'll do their best to tear you apart and make you feel like an ass.

I think assertions like this is what is "pissing people off", not so much your offer.

You made an offer, people gave you their opinion of your offer, and now you're calling them a-holes. Is this how you act when talking to customers as well?

If your charging us $50, its not "help" Its you pocketing $50 bucks that tons of people would do for free. We got people making entire logo sets for people here, whats your "help".. 20 bucks a logo?

I am not trying to be an a hole but alot of people can do logos and the few that can't mostly everyone will do for free...... I've set up and made so many logos for people, it all took me about 20-30 minutes so your charging like $2 dollars a minute basically or somewhere close to that.

Without giving any credit to Fransico Burtuzi (Owner of PHP-Nuke) for providing such a brilliant system.

But one of the new systems out is called Dragonfly aka CPG-Nuke alot safer, easier, and more reliable. It's also alot faster.

But we do thank you for offering your services and willing to help people.

I think this thread should be closed before it turns into a flame war.

Wow, 260,000 a year is a lot for a condesending prick. I'd be willing to be a prick like you for way less than half that.
