Baseball in the Big Easy! ELSA Needs Two.
The ELSA has had two openings pop up as we try to build a strong core of 16 owners. The league is a conglomeration of the old Eastern League and Southern Association minor leagues of the 1940's. Visit us at http://www.theelsa.com/
The players are fictional and the salary structure is highly experimental, but proving to be successful. The minimum salary is 50K and the market is being shaped by human factors and the way they value certain players. The openings are currently in New Orleans (Pelicans) and Elmira (Pioneers). Both squads were owned throughout 1945 and are in need of some steering in '46. Elmira currently has a $22.6M payroll and revenues are estimated at slightly higher than $20.2M. They are the smallest market in the ELSA. This squad presents quite a challenge to an experienced OOTP5 player. Their minor league system is 8th out of 16. New Orleans is a far bigger market playing in a far bigger stadium. Their payroll of $28.7M is well under their annual estimated revenue of $37.6M. They have $9.8M to sign on free agents to fill holes created by neglect. Their minor league system is ranked 2nd out of 16 and it includes the #1 and #3 prospects in the league.
