Facepak ideas
I was playing around this morning, seeing how much time it would take to use mzitalia.com to come up with high quality baseball players - to see if the effort was worth the time. The 5 players below took me about an hour - but that included figuring out all steps, creating the jersey, and making all the initial decisions. If I were to recreate them now, it would probably take 25-30 minutes.
Once set up then, about 10 players could be created per hour, or about 100 in a full day of work. That's about 2.5 teams (40 man rosters). Let's assume only 2 teams - thus a full MLB set could be created in 18 days of work. Bottom line, a lot of work even under the best of circumstances. But for what it's worth, here's what can be done (if you forget about the caps!).

mzitalia
Mzitalia is pretty nice - but you'll find that after you make about 50 faces, they really all start to look the same. There aren't that many different faces in the program. Most of the faces are pretty distinct.. and changes to their hair styles doesn't really make them look like a different person.
You should try using facegen with the deft uniform templates. You can make pretty much an infinite amount of different/original looking faces.... and some really cool uniforms too. I used mzitalia for a season in my solo league.. and ended up using photoshop to clone facegen pictures into the mzitalia template (when all the faces started looking the same)... when I realized.. I might as well just be using facegen. Last edited by richw138; 02-05-2005 at 01:58 PM. |

Nice work, BigCity.
When are you going to create some fictional minor league stadiums? You should get together with Bobble and knuckler and create a stadium project. You have created some wonderful stadiums in the past. Do you think Markus would use fictional stadiums in OOTP7? You know him well enough to get his ear, don't you? |

Ballparks are by far the toughest creations - very time consuming. At the current time I don't have the time to get started in such a project, but I'll get back to creating them some day ![]() Addendum... changed my mind. 30 ballparks to be done by the release of V7. (am I nutz, or what?) Last edited by BigCity; 02-06-2005 at 01:34 PM. |

Your stadiums would be worth waiting for. Thank you for all you do for the OOTPB Community...I think I have said it before...but I'll say it again...you will be an automatic if we ever have an OOTPB Hall of Fame. |
