Help!?!

I was going along fine in the 19th season of my fictional league. I was simming; when it reached the all-star break, suddenly the leader boards on the standings page went blank (they just have the categories, with no players listed). Whenever I try to do anything, the game closes. Even after shutting down and restarting the computer, I can't do anything with the game without it closing. Any ideas?
I really don't want to lose this league - I've got a pitcher who's got 475 wins, and a chance to break Cy Young's record.

Apparently, all of my players have disappeared - I managed to get to the trade screen, and every team has every position listed as a weakness - nobody is left on any of the teams.

Something must have happened to get to this point, lockup, crash, etc. Unless you have been BACKING UP your league regularly it sounds like you are out of luck.

How do I go about backing up my league? I've only been saving it via the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Make a copy of the league folder in windows is how I do it.
