Can't Start Game

OOTP6 running fine for more than a month. Starting new league. Can't open game. I've been troubleshooting for a few days. I meet recommended system requirements. 512 RAM on Windows XP. Also, currently running OOTP5. No problems. I did delete a league a few days ago from OOTP6. I read one post where Steve asked whether a league was deleted. Could this be part of the problem?

IF you deleted "the last open league".....Try this:
In windows go to:
(OOTP>data>setup)(the "setup.dat" file is what I am referring to, make a backup copy of this file before beginning this process).
The first "text" in the file is the name of the last open league, change them to whatever your league is, save it and then try to open the game.

If that doesn't solve the problem you can simply reinstall the game and move your current league to that folder and that will work.
