Using both OOTP5 and OOTP6 for an online league
I had someone who signed up for my new online league (the World Penal League, http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=89225) ask me a question about using different versions of the game for a league.
Basically scenario, I created my league using OOTP5. One of my GM's apparently thought I was using OOTP6 and impored the league into there, made his team changes and sent the export to my FTP server. Naturally, when I tried to import into OOTP5, it didn't work. So he suggested that I go out and get OOTP6 and run the league off of that. Is that even possible? I assume OOTP6 is backwards compatiable, so exports from OOTP5 should be able to be imported into OOTP6. But would a GM using OOTP5 be able to see a league in OOTP5 that was created in OOTP6? Even if this were possible, would things such as player ratings continually change as they're bounced back and forth between versions? I do realize that this is something that is probably not recommended, but thought it was an interesting topic to see if it was even possible. Thanks in advance. ~ Chris Furman
