Wow, Scott Chiamparino made the Hall in your league, eh?

Amazing what can happen when you sim history in OOTP.

I'd like a Ankit's DB with Negro League players and PCL players intertwined...that would be sweet

I've heard there were some great players in the PCL as well. Get me some stats and I'll get them in.

My version is not a db, but a league file starting in 1930. I have subsequent files with ammies entering in the year they actually began their NL career through '36, I believe.

ALOT of work was involved, but if you'd like the players.dat file, I can provide.

Sorry, I didn't look close enough. I only saw from 1991 on. Once I took my head out, I found the rest.

I would like to get a copy of the database if you ever add the PCL players.

Thanks for the good work,

Rainers

When you add the negro league players (to a existing database, lahman or ankit), from which csv file is the starting year read? Master or Pitching/Batting? Im up to 1909 in my Great White North (Canadian League) league and would like to add them in to the ankit db.

A combined database of sorts would be a fascinating project...would be extremely difficult to pull off, however.

Certainly enough of us here who have shown interest in the Negro League players, though, that it could get done, even on a small scale.

Unhappy

I'm having problems importing individual players from both databases. I have OOTP6 V6.11. When it asks me what year to import, I list debut year as listed in the database. I then get an error message and the game crashes. Can anyone help me? I really would like to import these players in a custom league. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I combined about 30 of the greatest negro league players with ankits career database.
I lowered the negro league stats by 50% so a player like Josh Gibson comes in with 28 homers.
I didnt include players like Willie Mays or Hank Aaron since they were in the Majors the majority of gtheir careers. However i did use Satchel Paiges Negro League stats so i had to remember to copy over or remove the existing Satchel Paige in Ankits database. Just wanted to remind you so you dont have duplicate players.

I'm having an issue with RJolley's DB. The pitching stats import out of order (k's under walks, etc...) and it screws up the ratings.

Also, the players' speed ratings are off. Cool Papa Bell and Oscar Charleston import with great stealing and baserunning ability but low (like a 1 rating) speed ratings. What's up with that?

Anyone have a fix for this?
