New Dynasty (Muscle Cars..)

Hey, I'm in the process of setting up a new solo league... I'm making every team with a muscle car name. Each team will be located in a city which the car was produced in (hopefully, unless they are all the same cities, then I'll find a better way to do it) Fan interest and such will be based on the number of cars produced and sold. I am going to sim 10 years or so before I start playing to establish a history. The league is starting in 1960. The begining of the Muscle Car Era (or in my eyes, when the first muscle cars began to appear, but what do I know I'm only 18..

) I'm sure at least a handful of you guys on here(or a lot more..) are old enough to have had some of these cars or at least recognize them.

Just wondering if there would be any interest in following the league.. or at least just watching the standings to see which car is the king of all Muscle cars

I was originally going to put modern cars in too, but there are just too many classics that I want to include... if you have any interest in following this, and/or want a certain car to be used post here! I'm making the list right now not sure if I'll actually enter anything in ootp tonight.. but I will have most of it set up tomorrow I hope. Just need to find a program so I can make logos (I plan on having a picture of each car as the logo and a little something else with it, still brainstorming) This is the first solo league idea that has ever actually lit a fire under me so I'm really excited!!

I'm actually having trouble finding numbers produced and everything... but I think I have the cars I'll be using and the divisions...
My family also has a few muscle cars (Chevelle, Duster, IRoc) so I'm going to try to find pictures of my cars for their logos

For now I think I'll create the league and just put the city name down as the car right now, and change it later as I get everything set up. I'll be filling all teams by doing the fill minors option, no players will be on the rosters when I create the league, this way it should be more interesting, record books will build up and standards will be set higher as draft picks enter the league and replace the scrubs

Okay, can't sleep. I have all the teams and everything set up. Still no logos but those can come at a later time. I'm going to sim a season right now, if it all goes well maybe I can post something on it. Or maybe I'll goto bed while it finishes. We'll see, not like anyones reading anyways

Okay, well I'm about to take my girlfriend out to dinner, and since I'm not playing games until about 10 seasons in or so I will just give a basic outline, some league leaders and careers leaders ect. I have CATObase on the league, I'm exporting the 3rd seasons stats now. If I feel like finding some free webspace or anyone wants to suggest some I can throw the files up someplace. Otherwise I'll just use them for my own records and pull some interesting stats ect from there. I'll have a post tonight with standings and stats and all of that fun stuff from AT LEAST the first 3 seasons, so 1960-1962. Maybe more if I sim more when I get home tonight. The later I get home the better off I'll be

I can't wait to get through 10 so I can take over a team. It will likely be either the IRocs, Dusters, or Chevelles. Let me know who your going to be cheering for!

Everything is uploading and saving correctly! I have set it so that after the 1963 season there will be coaches and scouts ect. I'm thinking maybe if you want your name to be entered as a coach of a team let me know and I'll set it up.. just to add a little bit to the league for anyone who may be following.. since CATO will be in place throughout the dynasty, at least you could follow your coach as he goes!

Don't sweat that...you'll always be disappointed if that's how you judge your dynasty. Views will always FAR outnumber replies.

Okay, I'm through the 1965 season. We had our first 2 time champion (64,65) the Grand Am's beat the Cyclones 4 games to 3 in 1964, and the Dusters 4 to 1 this past season.

No other team has appeared in the World Series more then once other then the Grand Am's who after bein sub .500 in the first 3 seasons have had big post seasons and seem to be establishing themselves as the first powerhouse in the league!

I'm runing CATO after the 1967 season, when I hit 1970 I'll start following the Duster franchise more closely and play some games.
