Red face Injuries at an alarming rate

In my Phillies franchise my team is suffering injuries at such a high rate , I am starting to think its a bug in the game, anyone else have this problem?

In the Baseball Maelstrom, my pitching staff has been decimated all season. It seems that the injuries do hit the pitchers far more than position players. Five of my pitchers have been on the self for a minimum of 3 weeks, Kevin Brown twice!

This has been discussed in other threads and the injury percentage compared to MLB seems to be about right as pitchers do seem to suffer more than batters.

It's been posted several times and when you go back and do the research you find that its not a bug, the game tends to be right on or if anything under does the number of injuries during the season.

Its frustrating but it happens to teams in real life as well. Ask the St. Louis Cardinals about pitcher injuries.....

Edit - Here is an earlier post on the subject.

Not complaining about a "bug". It just seems that my club has nothing but bad luck, so much that the commissioners have assigned Richard Simmons as my team's unwelcomed trainer! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

I have mine set to low, which seems to be an appropriate frequency for what I want out of OOTP.

in my franchise Pedro is 38, still has great ratings, but I know next year that huge drop is probably coming .... he starts the season with 285 wins, his ratings still being great I figure 15 wins no problem then after a 5-0 start he goes on the shelf for 8-9 weeks, ends season at 9-3, in the playoffs now so I don't know if he has declined yet but it'd be a shame if he can't get six wins next year

As many have said, the games built in randomness means the amount of injuries your team receives will be erratic. You may get a season with very few injuries, or another season with a ton of injuries. If you are playing solo you could always edit a player back to health, but if you want more realism leaving injuries set to Normal is probably best.
