Arrow Jeff Garcia's Publicity Stunt

Back in August Garcia's playboy model girlfriend got in a fight with another woman (that Garcia had slept with) at a Cleveland nightclub. The trial is going on now and from what I've seen I believe 100% that it was all set up to help show everyone he is not gay. They showed testimony on the news of Garcia talking about how he had a 1 night stand with the lady, then they had video of him making out with his g/f outside the courtroom. When is the last time you saw that? Usually after getting out of court people rush by the cameras get in a car and speed away - not Jeff - he had to suck face for a bit outside the court room.

I don't think he's gay - just think it is a pathetic attempt to throw it in everyone's face to prove to everyone he is straight.

Whether he is gay or not doesn't make any difference to me. But you have to wonder what would drive a person to go to such lengths (if indeed he is staging this whole thing). Isn't a single emphatic statement sufficient? And doesn't it carry a lot more weight?

Remember the Richard Gere/Cindy Crawford full-page newspaper 'ad' proclaiming their heterosexuality?

I don't know why he cares if people think he's gay. If he really is dating that woman, this rumor doesn't seem to be hurting him much. Talk about being insecure.

A better question might be: why does anyone care about his sexual preferences? And why does he care that anyone cares? If his girlfriend is a Playboy model, then does he really care if anyone thinks he's gay? It would cross my mind once -- as I was taking her clothes off for the first time -- and then never again.

dude, it's sports... not just sports... football *grunt*

imagine how many redneck homophobes are huge sports fans? imagine what kind of reaction an admittedly gay player would get, not only from fans, but from teammates? this is the world of jocks, and being gay would make you an instant outcast in the clubhouse. There's a reason why there's only been a couple of known sports figures to admit being gay, and even then they were smalltime players who admitted it years after they were no longer a part of the sport (Billy Bean).

Reggie Theus is the biggest "name" I've known that's admitted it.

If another man every complemented me on my looks I'd stick my fist into his chest then pull out his heart and eat it as a display of my sheer manliness and to prove I'm not gay.

Anybody watching would be all like ''He's not gay.''
