I just finished the challenge mode in OOTP4 and my team, San Francisco, lost to *Boston* in 6 games in the world series. What really hurt was that my closer blew two saves.
I played every game of the season so there were a lot of emotional investment. After the series, there was a tremendous let-down and I wound up wondering aimlessly around the house. It was the same feeling i had after watching the Kings lose to those dang Lakers in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. I'm in day 5 of free agent signings but isn't really motivated. Does anybody else feel the same way? |

Another Bills fan here. It does suck to lose deep in the playoffs.

Same here....
Yep, you guessed it...another Bills fan. I also played a season in OOTP where I managed every game, every transaction, read every email, and lost in the first round of the postseason. I felt terrible too...*lol* I came back to the computer to do next year, trying to get all fired up to do better, and didn't even make the postseason! But every minute I spend playing OOTP is a joy, no matter what!
Look to next year! |

One of my 1st seasons (way back with ootp2) I was playing as Brooklyn (1955). I went to the series against the A's we dueled it out the 1st six games in game seven I was leading by 1 in the ninth with 2 outs bases were loaded. I can't remember the batter but it was a "routine fly ball to CF" Duke Snyder settles under it (man I am breaking the Champaign out
and HE DROPPED it. Needles to say two runs scored I lost and almost threw my monitor out the window.![]() P.S. GO BILLS!!!!! |

Hehe ouch jjmac69.
I have had some heartbreakers but nothing of that proportion Luckily my first postseason I was simming an underdog wild card team and they pulled out amazing comebacks in every series losing the first two games every time but always storming back to win it all. After the fun and excitement of that season my next few flops were easier to swallow. I know by the third one I was pretty pissed so I just broke down and blew my budget for the next year to reward my fans who at that point must have felt like they were watching the Bills.

I generally give myself 10-14 days before resuming to the next season just to unwind and reflect on the past season and to think of how to better my team.
