Not able to make changes after you AI Roster

Is it possible to give a team until the next sim to make roster changes?

Sometimes i would like to have the AI set my roster and then make tweaks. If i do this today we have to accept the changes the AI makes and you have a player stuck on the reserve roster for 14 days.

Would love to be able to confirm changes.

If this is possible and i just have no clue how to do it, please help me.

I don't want to come off as snarky because this isn't the intent, but it's the system we all have to live with.

I believe that the decision to implement this is to cut down on certain exploits. If so, I'm okay with it.

Maybe i don't get the exploits.

I just want to be able to confirm my team before the next sim.

In my case i used the AI button the other night and it send one of my starting pitchers to my reserve roster. He was leading the league in W and ERA at the time. Was pitching great but was not the highest overall rating from my SP but close.

I was stuck with him for 14 days on reserve roster.

I would like that too, but I think it would be pretty complicated to handle without opening up potential other loop-holes with guys coming off the inactive list or back from auction. We're always looking for ways to make the user experience better, but need to be sure we don't cause problems when we do changes.

I don't think this has anything to do with exploits. The 14 day rule is for dealing with exploits, but you're only wanting to have a confirmation prompt and for those who ask the AI to setup their entire team, that would be nice.

But if you only ask the AI to setup the bullpen/staff, then you won't have to worry about this problem. So did you not use the ask AI drop-down menu on the pitching tab and instead had the AI setup your entire team? If you did use that drop-down, then it sounds like a bug.

I did the team

So after winning an auction does the AI think it makes my team better now to move a player from the reserve roster to the active roster based on who can play what positions.

Am i missing something the AI is seeing. I may not agree and want to change them back to my preference.

We had a thread on this during the beta, too.

I don't see why a move to the reserve roster needs to be set immediately as opposed to waiting till we confirm, or until the next sim. It's impossible to exploit that. Nothing is taking place that would impact any game.

I haven't made the mistake of swapping a player in the live version, but I did make it in the beta. I could see this mechanic messing up a newer player.

not sure if this is the same issue, but here's something odd.... let my daughter use the 3rd slot on my license to make a team.... she opened her 6 packs, bought another with the first 1000 then let it play a few games once she was placed in an entry league

went to the AH to look for upgrades and picked up a handful of players... put them on the active roster and sent those she replaced to the reserves... submitted the new squad and logged out....

came back later to a message that she was just placed in an entry league (even though there had already been 6 games played... found all her new purchased players now on the reserve roster with a 14 day waiting period... and those she sent down were now on the active roster, but they still have 10+ days on their countdown clock

still not sure what this is all about.... I assume it will work itself out (it is only entry league afterall, so that's a plus)
