I purchased from the demo on Sunday night, my demo has expired, my credit card was charges but ViaTech claim it wasn't and 4 days later they do not appear anxious to help me out. They claim it is my responsibility to cancel the purchase and retry, my credit card won't cancel the purchase unless Via Tech confirms and I am getting frustrated.

That sucks. You have every right to be frustrated. Your credit card companies response is bizarre. Are you sure they refuse to charge back? My understanding is if they confirm a transaction has taken place (your card has been charged) and you claim that you did not receive the goods or services, they will remove the charges. You may have to sign a form that commits you legally to tell the truth. That is a formality.

To both posters; are you absolutely sure that the E-mails did not get caught up in your anti-spam net? The reason I ask is that I've done literally thousands of online transactions and only ever had one problem.

I actually recieved a note from ViaTech via email that the purchase did not get fully processed, while I actually spoke to the credit card company and the verified the charge was processed. ViaTech says its the credit cards responsibility to resolve while the Credit card company has asked that ViaTech complete a form confirming that is it is acceptable to reverse the charge. Four days and ViaTech has not completed the form.

Nothing in my junk mail

I need someone from OOTP to please resolve this issue. I have sent an email and posted on boards with no reply. I'm extremely frustrated.

**update** ViaTech wrote me an email this morning saying they located the credit card transaction and asked if I wanted to continue with my purchase or refund... I gladly asked them to continue with the purchase and may recieve my liscense later today or tomorrow.

Conrad, I'm unclear on this. Have you actually tried contacting the licensing agent for the version you bought or have you just tried to contact OOTP? You should be trying to contact them if you haven't.

See this FAQ page for more (it also has info if you can't get help from the licensing agent):
