Do any women play?

Are there any women who play OOTPB and are looking forward to the release of v2007? No doubt the game and forums are dominated by guys who love baseball, like me.

Don't misunderstand or read into this question too much. I'm very happily married. It's just a question.

My girlfriend asked me to show her the game a couple of weeks ago, and she quickly discovered a bug. The color pink could not be selected in the team logo color dialog... now that's a bug only a woman could find. Who else would select a screaming green as the hat color and pink as the jersey color?

I am pretty sure there are a few female OOTP fans, but they certainly are the minority

That's very funny. Made me chuckle. My wife probably would have noticed the same, if she cared at all about the game.

How does your girlfriend feel about the game and your involvement in creating it? When I first met my fiancee, I was a little hesitant at first to bring her into my world of baseball sims and all other freakish baseball addictions. But it turns out she likes the fact that I have a passion for something.

I could name probably no more than 3-4 that post on this forum. But yeah, the male/female differential is huge.

Well, the past couple of months have been pretty tough because of my workload. But she likes the fact that I have a creative job that never has me bored Once the game is released she'll be happier again because I can spend more time in my non-OOTP life.

Though my woman hasn't played, I created an "All-American Girls Professional Baseball League" as sort of a tribute to those players as well as herself, as she played softball in college. Perhaps the real reason I did was selfish though - in case I ever got caught playing too much, I could show her I was doing it for a "good cause." I created her as a player though unfortunately, had to bump her in a few ratings to keep her in the lineup!

Well is Mark or Markus are looking over the orders, I used my wife's credit card to order the game so it says "Sarah". Rest assurred that she doesn't know OBP from SLG%. She thinks it's funny that I "play" a game where it's just a bunch of words.

They're too busy stealing things, the little thieves.

G&GH is the only female player I know of. Actually, I never even see her post in the main boards here, so I'm not even sure how much she plays.

I've wondered this myself. We are always calling each other "him" and "sir" and "that guy" without really being sure of whom we are addressing. But I think we are pretty safe in this assumption; while I think I have detected a few females in Talk Sports and OT, my radar reads empty here!

^^ One guy who won't be complaining about the price of the game!

Put women into OOTP and you will have more women who play.
