Maybe, but incorporating new technology just because it is available is not necessarily a good thing. I still get a thrill out of driving a 60's motor vehicle with carburettors. The band I'm in has a drummer. I'd rather cook a roast chicken in the oven than in the microwave. I still get a kick out of Steel Panthers I, Doom and Railroad Tycoon. I play a 4 string bass.

The beauty of OOTP is that is takes our old baseball board games and dice games to a point where technology makes them more realistic and playable, rather than adding sound and graphics just for the hell of it.
