I'll let Sebastian know about it (he's got a screen big enough to test it on and I don't), but I seem to remember him having 1920x working in his game a little while ago, so as far as I know it's OK.

In historical mode is there a way to see next years entry draft class? I'm in February of 85 and i don't see the upcoming draft class. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong spot? It's not listed under the draft logs.

They are only listed among the free agents. Maybe there's a filter there for draft eligible players? Don't know actually.

Dumb question, I'm sure answered long ago and many times, but during historical mode, does expansion and relocations all happen automatically, or do I get to do it manually and can avoid the bad expansion choices?

Hey,

Is there any expension limit? Cause I held 3 expensions in 3 years and the 4th year it looks like I can't expend the NHL anymore. I wanted to have a huge league...

Nowhere, yet; there are some issues with how we'd store non-goalie stats for goalies. Goalie GP will finally be visible in the stat views after this update, though, and we'll work on the others.

It's a little problematic to show it right now because the historical drafts take place in July, instead of during June of the same season you're currently in. There may be a way for us to work around that, but for now, as pens66 said, the best option is looking amongst the free agents and filtering by age.

Historical data (player index)... Saw Abrahamsson had 18 minutes, but Martin Brodeur had 0.

Does player happiness have an impact on them renewing contracts at present? In several of my saves I have players who vary from unhappy through to downright angry due to not getting enough ice time or being sent down to the minors, yet they always seem content enough to sign a new contract with me...

I suspect a new contract means a future with the team, and possible increase in ice time, eventually... low ice time with no contract offer usually means the player is on the outs, with an uncertain future.

Suggestion: when clicking "Play Game" and you enter the Game Preview screen, we have only one option to: "Continue Game".......would it be possible to add a "Return to Schedule" or " Return to Previous Screen" button ........for the folks that forgot to do one last thing before starting the game :-)

or Cancel.

Or allow to change lineup/lines, as this page sort of makes up for not scouting opponents.

I have occasionally seen a screen pop up that shows the eligible draftees for next year. I cannot find out how to get this list?

I would like to make sure I scout all the top players well. Is there an easy way to ensure this is covered?

First question: answered in here

To scout top players either shortlist them and scout shortlist, or assign a minimum ability/potential for scouting under an individual scout's assignment.

I started a historical game in 91 so I could get the league structure that I wanted. I didn't click the box for automatic expansion, yet when I get to July 1st after the first season, I get a message telling me that the league has expanded. Am I missing something? I am in commissioner mode but didn't take a job cause I wanted to sim until 2015 so I could play from there with the old league structure and fewer teams. Is it because I don't have a team?

If it's not checked then it's not suppose to expand the league. I'll try it and see what happens.

Tried the exact same thing you did and it expanded for me as well.

I thought perhaps it might have had something to do with the players automatically set up to go to the actual teams they were drafted to. I clicked on that setting (draft rookies/Generate rookies at age 17) So players would be drafted like a normal draft where the worse teams get the best picks but that didn't solve the problem as the league still expanded.
