Well, i tried using it on a new universe and it worked great, so i dunno what was wrong before. Man its so much easier to use than manualling putting them in.

BTW, cephasjames, those are great logos you have on the site! I downloaded them all with the DownThemAll extension in Firefox and they're awesome.

I found out that a few of the jpg's were png's that were just renamed to jpg. As soon as i changed it to png, it worked fine.

Are you using IE? it only works in in it. Firefox & opera dont work with it.

If you change the name of the team or league it doesn't change the name also and you can't add the logo for the team or league

Sorta major update:

I squashed a fuzzy search bug that was not really using your selected folder.

With that, I changed the way it worked. It now reads directly from the folder, so if you add a logo to the main logo folder, it will find it. (Shame on your for not sending it to me)

I also added a circle folder. This is Church's collection. Under FILE there is not a download circle logos. It will a folder called CIRCLE under the LOGOS folder. This will contain ONLY circle logos. I will add more as I find them.

I also renamed a default set of logos based on the team names for 2006. Boston_Red sox.png, etc. So when you do an auto it should do a better job. I plan on adding the rest of the teams, like the Seattle Pilots, Houston Colts, etc.

SETS!!! No one has sent me a set. Please, send me a set.

What is a set? A set is the collection of logos for your league. Let's say that you create a historical league for 1972. You get all of the team logos the way you want (using my program, of course), then save the set.

It will create a folder UNDER the LOGOS folder in a folder called SET, with your league name and will contain all the logos, properly named for your league.

i.e. AU2006/LOGOS/SETS/1972 MLB

Now, zip up that folder and send it to me at webcomedian@msn.com. It will be a small file.

After I verify it, I will then add it to the server and add this set to my program, so anyone can download this already set up set.

I eventually would like to have a set for each year, even multiple sets.

i.e. 1975 MLB, 1982 MLB Uniformed, 1988 MLB Circle Metal, etc.

I would love to have available sets for all the leagues, including the rookie leagues, Japan, Mexico, Venus, etc.

I need the help of the community, so please, contribute your set.

Another nice utility that brings a lot to the game by taking a ton of the work related to starting a league and getting logos in (especially for multiple leagues) and not having to sacrifice any quality in the process. I'm finally going to give all my players faces to go with their names and give every sub league logos as well. Up to this point all I have done is logos for the league I play in and stadium images for my teams.

Added the ability to launch your favorite paint program to edit an existing logo. Click on a team, the team's existing logo will be displayed on the right. Click on the EDIT button and whatever program you have associated with JPG will launch. Modify, save and it is done.

If you're interested, I made a set of MLB logos from Chris Creamer's site. It starts in 1901 and has a folder for each year that any team changed to a new logo up through 2006.

I can't vouch for its accuracy or even that it was the team's actual main logo, but it was what was shown on his website. They are 150 x 150 .png files with no transparacy.

Darn tooting I am interested. If they are nice, I will build them right into my program. I can create a special search using those photos, that would be awesome.

It would make it a one touch affair for historical leagues.

Auto-Historical.

Let's say you start a historical league in 1935.

You run my program and it will add all logos for the teams, based on 1955. So, if Boston had the same logo from 1901-1920, then had a new one in 1921 that they used until 1960, then it would grab the logo from 1921 and use it.

So, you sum 5 more years and run the program. The program sees Boston has a new logo in 1960 and now will use that one.

Thanks to Chris Creamer for collecting the logos and putting them in folders. Thanks to WrightWing for suggesting this! (If I got the credit information wrong on who did what, sorry, but either way, THANKS!)

Now, if we just had someone convert all of these to CIRCLE LOGOS.

I will release this version later this evening. I have to do some code checking and I may be confused how the logos are worked in OOTP.

Boston Red_Sox.png or Boston_Red Sox.png
New York_Yankees.png or New_York Yankees.png

I wrote a routine to rename all the logos to replace all the spaces in the file name with _, then I think I can check the team.csv file to see how that team saves its logo and rename it that way.

I may have a new download for the entire logo set after I rename all of them.

Updated version done:

Download the historical logos at www.planetootp.com/historicallogos.zip

The file i about 3.5 meg.

Unzip to the C:\AU2006\LOGOS folder

So, the layout should be:

C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1901
C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1902
C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1903
etc.

NOTE: Some years may not have a folder, this is by design. No new logos were issued that year.

Now, load the new version of my program and run it, select your historical year and seconds later you will have the correct logo for each team, based on the current year. Run it every year to get the latest logo for each team.

International League Logos added:

Click on FILE - DOWNLOAD LOGOS - INTERNATIONAL and it will download the official logos for the International AAA league. It will create a folder under AU2006/LOGOS called International. Just use the fuzzy and select that folder and it will add them for you.

More minor leagues to follow!

Want to help? Put a collection of the logos together. (I actually took these logos from the entire collection and copied them). Rename the spaces in the name to underscores. Zip them up in a file with the name of the league and e-mail it to me.

Unzip to the C:\AU2006\LOGOS folder So, the layout should be: C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1901 C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1902 C:\AU2006\LOGOS\HISTORICAL LOGOS\1900s\1903 etc. NOTE: Some years may not have a folder, this is by design. No new logos were issued that year. Now, load the new version of my program and run it, select your historical year and seconds later you will have the correct logo for each team, based on the current year. Posts: 7,085	International League Logos added: Click on FILE - DOWNLOAD LOGOS - INTERNATIONAL and it will download the official logos for the International AAA league. It will create a folder under AU2006/LOGOS called International. Just use the fuzzy and select that folder and it will add them for you. More minor leagues to follow! Want to help? Put a collection of the logos together. (I actually took these logos from the entire collection and copied them). Rename the spaces in the name to underscores.
