NFLPA chief strategy officer resigns

I'm in firm belief the NFLPA should break up. In its place should be positional unions that look after their position's interests & special needs.

Agents obviously colluded. Anyone saying anything about that? You can't tell me all of a sudden every second round pick wants to hold out for guaranteed contracts by coincidence.

I'm in the minority, but I don't think collusion is such a bad thing. No one is forced to follow. Most collusion is what everyone wants to do anyway.

That's not collusion. They don't want their clients to sign for less than what they got the year before or for what the player got just ahead or behind them. This happens every year. Once one domino falls, the others quickly follow suit.

Of course it's not. Owners not wanting to sign Kaepernick just didn't want to sign a guy that took a knee during the anthem. Not collusion.

This is why I don't like collusion in the first place. People can justify it any way they want. All of a sudden all 2nd round picks don't want to sign at the same time? No, not collusion. Not even close. Right. I buy that. I'll even admit, so what? I think they should have every right to do it.

Any updates on these 2nd round picks. I'm having trouble finding it. I know the Cowboys 2nd rounder signed.

I agreed w/that analysis in the past until the NFL settled the case. The NFL isn't known for settling cases they think they can win. Just look at all the evidence they had against them in their last collusion case and they still fought it. I'm more inclined to believe there was some evidence in discovery that the NFL was afraid of. The NFL wouldn't just give up.

Those player surveys about franchises off the field perks is causing some of these teams to step their games up.

I don't know if they colluded on that or not. But sometimes it's easier and cheaper to settle. Give him a few million bucks to go away. Then pretend we're interested in your workouts. It's all PR and to hope he goes away.

I agree. But like I said, that ain't the NFL's usual m.o.
