Guess what?

The Sox lost!

At least this time they didn't get blown out!

I really want to see Toby Hall get ejected today (not injured) so we can see who gets behind the plate Hey, if they are not going to win we might as well be amused. Can you imagine Mackowiak or Uribe at catcher? Ha!

Well, I'll be damned, the Sox won a game!

Not only that, Buehrle finally got his 100th win - his first win in his last 8 starts!

Granted, Dewon Day and Boone Logan did their best to blow a 5-run lead in the 9th by walking the bases loaded on 13 pitches, but Bobby Jenks managed to come in and shut the door, although not before two runs scored (one on a wild pitch / passed ball that I didn't actually see happen, and the other on a ground ball that probably would have been a game-ending DP ball if not for the wp/pb).

Man, even the wins are painful to watch.

Yep, I was watching just expecting them to blow the 5 run lead I would just love to see them have a complete win (pitching, hitting, and defense) without anything falling apart i.e. the bullpen.

I heard some trade rumors today on the radio involving Dye going to either the Dodgers or Padres for bullpen help. The only name I heard mentioned was Scott Linebrink. I'm not sure how credible the reports are, but I don't mind seeing the Sox make a trade to get help in the pen. I like Dye, but honestly the chances of him staying with the team are slim.

...and considering he's been having fluid drained from his knee and getting cortisone shots, I wonder how effective he's going to be this year.

I think the Sox are going to turn this thing on now. I just have this feelings. After the players meeting they had Saturday after the game and the way they looked during yesterdays game....I don't know, just a feeling I am having. Game starts in a half hour so in like 4 hours we should know.

I hope you are right. I've had that same feeling a few times over the last few weeks, but no luck Hope your feeling turns out better than mine.

Umm...no.

Although, mark your calendars because Ryan Bukvich THREW A SCORELESS INNING although he did walk two batters.

When Adam Eaton shuts you down, what's going to happen when they have to face a real pitcher like Cole Hamels? Are the Sox going to somehow manage to score a negative number of runs?

Well, it's official.

Back surgery for Crede.

Yeah, right, you don't get it taken care of in the off-season. For all the talk of how the Sox don't like dealing with Boras, sometimes I get the feeling that Boras is intentionally messing with the Sox - this now marks he second Boras client (Remember, Ordoņez became a Boras client in 2004) that has had his trade value as well as probably making him no longer a Type A free agent. Heck, Thomas and Ordoņez's injuries (and subsequent non-tenders) alone have wound up costing the Sox 4 sandwich picks over the past couple years.

Which all helps to make the Sox farm system look really, really poor.

The Sox have been shut out more than anybody else in the majors.

Blah.

This is just BS and makes me really dislike Crede. Crede knew damn well that this needed to be taken care of last year. Oh well, nothing we can do except hope that Fields turns out to be a decent player.... This season really sucks

Well, to be fair to Joe, back surgery really isn't something that should be taken lightly. At least we don't have to get upset about Crede's injury knocking us out of contention or anything.

Konerko and Dye go back to back. The two guys who we need to hit get off to a good start for once.

Yep, the Greg Walker method. Home run or nothing.

Do you think the surgery for Joe Crede means the end of his career as a White Sox?

What player/personnel moves would you most like to see the Sox make?

If the procedure goes as expected, Crede could be back in two months.
