Improved Historical Facegens

I made a couple myself. Couldn't find them anywhere

I am trying to create a HOF league and have found a lot of the players but have not found a decent Cap Anson facegen. The one I found does not look anything like him and I think it is just a random facegen.

The photo I found of him on bbref is okay and if I can get something like this in a facegen it would work nicely.

Hope someone could help me with this request.

I downloaded the facegen program and tried to create my own Cap Anson. I have never attempted this and I know it does not look like him, but I tried to get some of his features in this.

I took the facegen of Rollie Fingers and just edited the hell out of it to get this image. I tried to get the 1880's-1890's feel. The cap_anson.fg is the one I found in the historical facegen thread and the cap_anson2.fg is the one I did. I also put the image of how mine turned out and the one in the historical file. Not really happy with it but this is the first time I tried to create a facegen that actually looked like someone.

Maybe someone could take either of these 2 fg files and create a better Cap Anson.

I am hoping some one could get me a better one, but if not I will use this one because most people really don't know what Anson looked like. I could use the photo, but I don't want to mix photos with the facegen images and I want to have fictional unis.

Tricky first facegen to attempt James! It's aways going to be extremely tough to get anything decent of players from 125+ years ago.

I took the photo below, humanized it a little in facegen and then added a brown 'handlebar' mustache. Guess he'd probably look better in a 19th century uniform...

okay - i am hooked on this facegen program, am trying this myself but hoping some one could make on better, but his is an attempt that I like a little better.

Do you think this could be suitable for use in my league?

Looks good. Anytime you can get the full mustache from an old photo... you've done well. It's very hard to do.

I've got it, but the file would be too big to upload here. If you have steam, you can download it from there because it comes with the facegen pack.

I am not sure if they fixed the installation problem, but it should be on you computer now. It downloads to the master Steam folder. You have to go in to it and then the ootp folder and look for downloads or some such. Sorry I can't be more helpful... but it is there, and you just have to cut/copy and paste in your ootp regular folder.

Somewhere in the ootp 18 forum there is a specific discussion of this... maybe in the technical problems forum.

I want some facegens re-done on some of the older players, mostly when they were young. Should I place the requests here and is the facegen modeler still 299 bucks?

The price has not changed but the new version is not as nice as the older one. Please read you messages I sent you some information on the SI program.

figured I'd ask before taking a crack at one myself... checked the posts and saw him included in the team pics in a few of them, but he wasn't included in the zip file for whatever reason.

The pack I have on the steam workshop is a direct mirror of the Complete Universe Facegen pack that qcbandits posted (also stickied in this section of the forum). It includes MLB, MiLB, historical, foreign, and indie ball players.
