Default Jersey Back Fonts Thought?

I figure most of us probably think using the Reds font for the default font is a poor choice, but what would be the best choice?

I went through all the included ones and I'd say either the White Sox or Rockies is the best choice. Black goes with everything and they're pretty much the same, just the Rockies is a bit thicker. But I don't love the silver outline and I'd figure I'd make my own default using Eriq's wonderful Uniform Maker.

I chose the simple "MLB Block" font, black, with no outline strokes. I then added it to the jersey_fonts folder, but OOTP wouldn't pick it up by default until I loaded it into GIMP and exported as a .webp file. Feel free to download and use it yourself.

I'll attach the default too in case anyone doesn't back theirs up and wants to go back to it.

I did something similar for a fictional league I imported from OOTP23. I made some black colored fonts using different fonts. I then change the color for home/away/alternates using my paint program and ColorCop (to choose color from logo or uniform) and import in to the game. A quick way to have custom fonts. I can do a team in 30 seconds.

I did something similar as you, micropterus58. All my system fonts and all colors are available that way.

KQ76, I'm partial to all things Art Deco...so I'd recommend any Deco style font that isn't swash covered.

Cool! Thanks for pointing it out. I don't do a lot of eyedropping (I have a couple of colour spreadsheets I like to reference), but that's a good little program. You gotta love programs that do something well without a lot of bloat.

If you ever have a need to convert colours between different scales (HSV, etc), maybe try ColorSelector. It hasn't been updated in a decade, but it still works great and it has an eyedropper too.

I like Art Deco fonts too. Strangely enough, I don't have many of them recorded though. Plaza is probably my favourite. What's yours?
