Good news for me. I will take a look at next week. I promise not to mess with it if I am unsure about what I'm doing. Also I have attached some info on OL guidelines. A league with at least four OL teams with at least two playing ten or more OL games qualifies for a crown. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-24-2021 at 09:34 AM. |

Iron 172
The setup for Iron. Six teams who are becoming very familiar with each other. South Holland and reigning OL Iron champ, Inland Empire settle together in the NC, with all others in the AC.

Rookie 56
Five teams spread out in Rookie, with Shoebox and Hartford in same division. Not sure if my fellow OL Rookie League managers are actively managing and trying to improve. Embarrassingly enough, I am...without much success, needless to say.

Little Help?
It would be nice if someone or two or even three managers could step up and help revmcgator with the standing in the three leagues he's in, that is rookie, stone , and iron.

Coming off of a PT title the Mad Brewers have made a few changes.
The biggest move actually occurred for the playoffs when a perfect Harold Baines took over in RF moving Slaughter to LF and Ken Williams to the DH role. Craig Biggio gets an audition in Dots Miller's old job of backup 2b. He's not going to move Ian Kinsler but he does provide a better pinch hitter on the bench and some members of management think that with some time under his belt he'll become even better. With Ken Williams at DH Dan McGann is sent to AAA. It's a tough break after his best season on the Mad Brewers roster. George Watkins takes his place as a backup DH, LF, and 1b. Only one ex-Stogie position player remains on the big league roster. Greasy Neale and Bunk Congalton are both gone but Buddy Rosar has moved up to take the starting catcher's job from Paul Lo Duca. Only time will tell if the defensive improvement is worth the weaker bat. Both catchers expect to see plenty of action. No major changes in the pitching rotation. |

Don't let it keep you up nights. We have rarely used any tiebreakers at all, and never have gotten past the first, I believe.

I can help with Stone. My results will be from the evenings, as I don't have time to do the work in the morning. I enjoyed doing the work in Rookie last week, so not a problem.

All alone in Iron
Ok....I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar. I've got six friends on my list who are all in Iron, but I got placed in a league with no other OL teams for the second week in a row. (Gem City Bombers- SPBJT1964)
Any reason why? Both my names are on the spreadsheet so I would think that a few people would have me included.

Just a couple musings about my team building so far in PT22.
The Labrats are my first time doing a theme team in PT and they took a serious hit early on as I did not want to spend much on a player to fit the theme that I would just have to replace in a few weeks. I also did not go whole hog with selling off non-theme players right away, so the LabRats struggled and ended up in Rookie last week. I have found, however, that the theme has really helped me look at my team more specifically for upgrading and I think in the end, has helped me have a team that I think I can compete with. For instance, I have Shad Berry as my backup at 1B. A Bronze 64, looks prime to be upgraded, so I find a solid low gold 1B. Start to make the change and realize that he is also my only depth for the OF. If I pull him, I need to add an extra outfielder. So I hit the card database and find a couple options for depth at all 3 spots, probably in place of my SE Griffey who can only backup CF. This is just one example, but having the theme has done a good job, for me, in focusing my thoughts. The Bluffton Boomerangs, however, have fewer restrictions, as they have no theme, but I have found myself, after completing the Live missions, falling into buying/opening packs and hoping something good wanders along. This has allowed me to get most of the BALs to Silver, but that doesn't make my lineup, and the further BAL upgrades get pricey, so I have not found a good focus for team upgrades with the Boomerangs. This may just be how my mind works, but yesterday, as I found myself budgeting for LabRat upgrades, I realized that I have been putting much more work in to them than I have the Boomerangs. Thanks for letting me meander for a few minutes!

Proud to be an OL Diamond rep in what looks to be a lonely & short stay unless I can come up with 20-30K more PP this week (& even that might not help). good luck to all! * every one of those Shiners logos is a winner! great job.

Bronze will have 97 OL games this week and as I feared Gettysburg alone in the NC only has 7. Otherwise:
Bluffton: 43 Sugar Hill: 41 Asheboro: 39 Otsego Lake: 38 Baltimore 26 |

Bronze
Baltimore wins their three of its OL games to sit atop the standings. Bluffton won seven of eight which is only good enough for second place.
In PT play Baltimore and Asheboro have slim division leads. The Barons are currently on a ten game winning streak. After dropping four of their first five they have posted an impressive 19-2 record. |
