I'm amazed at the professionalism of everyone associated with this project. MLB Network has really given it the royal treatment.

**Mild spoiler alert for the Reds/Cardinals quarterfinals**
I am attempting to understand the logic behind Rogers Hornsby trying to lay down a sacrifice bunt. I then looked up his career sacrifice numbers, and they are insane. In the rabbit ball era, he was dropping more than 20 successful bunts a season. In one season, Hornsby had the same number of sacrifice hits as George Brett did in his career. Makes me wonder if the definition of sacrifice hit was changed over the last 90 seasons. But, still...playing for a single run with a sacrifice? |

I still think the Brewers should have been on the AL side and the Astros on the NL side, and that the Orioles should have had representation from their Browns era. Also doubt the Reds all-time best players could beat a properly chosen Cardinals team in a setting like this, at least to a degree, for a best-of-seven series. Whoever chose certain players for certain teams likely made some mistakes with their choices, whoever they were or are. They certainly made some with their picks for the Cardinals.
Just a few of my related thoughts here, folks. Take them as you will, or not, of course. CD out.

Sisler has a stronger case. His main competition would be Eddie Murray and Boog Powell. Murray is a fellow HOFer and deserves his spot. I can see taking Sisler over Powell, but Boog is a Baltimore legend so I can also see why he got a spot. Sisler is probably more deserving, and if the rosters were expanded to 30 then you definitely take all three. Quote:

Who says I'm whining? I may or may not have seen the story related to that matchup by now, but I'm not saying either way.
I agree that the Reds have been and are historically a good team with several well-deserved championships in their history, and numerous well-deserved stars and/or Hall of Famers, without a doubt. But whoever put these various rosters together definitely made some considerable mistakes in several cases on a fairly good number of these teams, in terms of who they put on them. With or without the DH in use, there were clearly some missing players who should have been included on the relevant rosters. Rolen definitely doesn't belong on the Cards roster for something like this. He should have been a Phillie, or even a Red, I think, for this, although I'd have put him on the Phillies, myself. And what good is naming people to teams when they never get to play? If you look at the tournament for several of the teams until the Reds-Cardinals series, for instance, notice how many of the games and teams do not generally have the bench players utilized at all or even starting. Take, for instance, the Cards games. Not once do we see Molina start, or even play, if memory serves. Now I know Simmons was a great Cards catcher while he was with the Cards, but come on. Surely his backup or backups should have been able to play as well, at least a little bit. And so should have any number of other players for the Cardinals, among other teams also in the tournament. In my view, from what I've seen of the tournament so far, it has been flawed from the get-go, at least to a degree, because basically only the starters seem to be playing in the games, for a large portion of their team's innings, essentially wasting their bench players needlessly, especially with the DH in use here. Why name people to teams if you're never going to likely play them? Not logical here, for sure. CD out.

Here's how I would have likely seeded the tournament, had the Astros and Brewers likely been placed in their proper leagues, I think:
American League: 1. Yankees 2. Red Sox 3. Tigers 4. Indians 5. White Sox 6. Athletics 7. Orioles/Browns 8. Twins/Senators 9. Negro League 10. Royals 11. Blue Jays 12. Rangers/Senators 13. Angels 14. Brewers 15. Mariners 16. Rays National League: 1. Dodgers 2. Cardinals (Yes, many of you probably thought I'd say the Cards here, but the Dodgers are almost as titled in certain ways as the Cards are, if not more so) 3. Giants 4. Cubs 5. Braves 6. Reds 7. Phillies (But only barely over the next team) 8. Pirates 9. Mets 10. Nationals/Expos 11. Astros 12. Padres 13. 25-Under 14. Marlins (Only by virtue of their two titles) 15. Diamondbacks 16. Rockies Here's how I think the matchups would have likely ended up, if teams were properly rostered: Yankees beat Rays Red Sox beat Mariners Tigers beat Brewers (Although it would be close, if Yount and Molitor and others played well) Indians beat Angels White Sox beat Rangers/Senators Blue Jays beat Athletics Orioles/Browns beat Royals (But series close, most likely) Negro League beats Twins/Senators Dodgers beat Rockies Cardinals beat Diamondbacks (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Giants beat Marlins Cubs beat 25-Unders Braves beat Padres Astros beat Reds (But very close series, if teams rostered and managed properly) Nationals/Expos beat Phillies Pirates beat Mets Yankees beat Negro League Red Sox beat Orioles/Browns Tigers beat Blue Jays White Sox beat Indians Dodgers beat Pirates (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Cardinals beat Nationals/Expos Astros beat Giants (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Cubs beat Braves Yankees beat White Sox Tigers beat Red Sox (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Cubs beat Dodgers (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Cardinals beat Astros Yankees beat Tigers Cardinals beat Cubs (But series close, if teams rostered and managed properly) Cardinals versus Yankees (Toss-up, but Yankees perhaps with a bit of an edge for the most part) Just a few thoughts here, folks. Take them as you will or not. CD out.

Dream Bracket Stats
Is there anywhere that has the complete stats of this bracket? I see individual box scores but no total stat displays. I'd like to make some leader cards for my blog.
Also if anyone is interested, I created several cards of these Dream Teams on my blog. http://cardsthatneverwere.blogspot.com/ ![]() This is an example. I actually created around 150 cards using this design. |

Using DreamBracket Rosters for a custom full season
I've created a Quickstart Game using the download provided by the OOTP team. I've exported the rosters...tried creating a new league, cleared all the rosters and tried importing from the export file created above. Game crashed on MacOS. Am I doing something wrong? or is this a bug?

If anyone is wondering I made a quickstart with the 32 teams in an actual league for season play in the OOTP mods section of the forum
