I know it's possible, but it's very unlikely that my team will have more than a .300 winning percentage from what I've seen with perfect league rosters. I spent about $50 also. I'm also going to assume that perfect leagues are going to get tougher and tougher until pretty much every team actually is a perfect team. Last edited by zrog2000; 01-09-2019 at 03:42 PM. |

I did get some decent diamonds (Cliff Lee, Aaron Judge, Edwin Diaz) and lucked out getting Ozzie Smith but I have sold gold cards that weren't producing how I wanted them or didn't fit. I had both Matt Chapman and Josh Donaldson and sold Chapman to fund the rest of the team.

I think most people seem to be hung up on the overall rating and not looking at the underlying ratings. My Ozzie Smith has gone toe to toe with Mike Trout on the WAR leaderboard. |

From my experiences, I would need to cough up hundreds of $$ to have any chance against the Whale I've had in my pond the last week and this week. If this game costs hundreds of $$ to be fair/competitive, then forget it. |

All I ask for is a fair chance. I lost in Bronze happily. I lost in Silver unfairly. |

Silver = 70-80. Not 15 100 cards and 10 90-100 cards. The Whale I was against had 60+ cards on the reserve roster and the lowest rating there was 80. Last edited by matingly23; 01-09-2019 at 04:39 PM. |

I find it sad that the irony of this eludes you, despite your harp having but a single string to pluck.

Honestly though, no offense intended, but you are pretty lucky to be leading your division. I think our league is on the weaker side (at least compared to my last week it is) and your division is even weaker. You're also significantly overperforming your run differential so far (+6 over pythag). Ozzie is killing it for you though, no doubt. That season he put up in diamond is insane! I'm rocking several silver players myself, and I'd definitely agree that people get hung up too much on OVR. |

I wouldn't call this bad luck as it is just as likely to happen (if not more so) than pulling multiple Diamond's. More like an expected result. Last edited by SayHey1; 01-09-2019 at 04:57 PM. |

Well technically...if the odds for a diamond card are 1 in 150, that means on average you pull one every 25 packs, right? So average luck would have had me pulling 3 or so diamonds out of 70-80 packs. Just one diamond, and minimum value at that, does seem legit bad.

Edit: I just remembered, anyone who sees this post; Stop using closers and use stoppers instead. Let your best reliever pitch in the most innings that he can. Last edited by Meg4byt3; 01-09-2019 at 05:09 PM. |

I've been working the market quite a bit though, my team is mostly golds but I have 3 diamonds all from auction house (Kershaw, Reuschel, Yelich). I'm in my second year of perfect but it's looking like I'm getting demoted at the end of this season. I think at this point my best option is to keep cracking packs as I get achievements and hope for a big hit. Althought I'm kicking around selling Kershaw as he has been a huge bust for me thus far. Gonna see how he does next season in Diamond league. |

I'm pretty much content to see how I do at diamond level. I actually was a wildcard team 2 seasons ago in Diamond and didn't suck too bad my first season at Perfect. |

Reading through this thread makes me truly realize just how incredibly toxic this entire community is.

Whales vs. free to play happens in every pay-to-win game that I've seen. This one isn't different somehow.
