Injuries
Just today I started simming as 1980 Yankees and just before the season started I got hit with an injury notice Lou Piniella suffered a slipped disk and will be out for 2 months. What luck.

Just a casual observation....I have yet to see a CEI in 17. I've seen several injuries where the player will be out for the year, but none of the dreaded CEI.
Has the injury profile been change in 17? |

I forget where I saw it, but yes it's been changed so there aren't as many CEI's now.

That meant that the only way you could/can actually reduce the rate of CEIs in the game without reducing them to zero was by, for example, eliminating all CEIs that occur from fielding. It's not terribly granular and the data nerd part of me would definitely like to see the ability to set rates on this and on the other injuries as well.

FWIW I flipped over to 17 with an existing league on Friday and I *think* I saw a CEI happen to my kind-of-Honus Wagner (I'm doing a fictional historical league that I started in 1893 and I like to create and track the superduperstars). I'm not 100% sure if it happened in 17 vs 16 though and in any case the plural of anecdote is not data (FWIW I undid his injury and then in an attempt to appease the OOTP injury gods I made the next major injury to a star player in the league career ending).

Straight CEI are now extremely rare in OOTP 17. They do happen however if someone has multiple setbacks, for example after Tommy John surgery.
