Anyone want to take a shot at this recent addition to Ebbets Field Flannels?

1922 Homestead Grays road jersey. I often replace the Pirates with the Grays in my MLB leagues, so this would be much appreciated!

Good job there amigo... Did you use a font for the wordmark or just pull that off the jersey photo... I had a hard time matching a font to that wordmark...

I looked on 1001fonts for a blocky font with serifs (slab) and found Kane (demo). I used the custom text sampler for "GRAYS" and took a screen snip of that. It's not a perfect match so I used a bit of photoshop "magic" on each letter (cut, move, erase, etc) to make it look closer to the jersey font. That's a bit of work to do but I am going over my previous work to update them a bit or to fill in gaps with new references. By the way, when do you think the Grays went from red to blue?

Yeah that is kinda what I did with a font called Graduate...
No idea on the color change... This is the only one Ebetts shows with the red, all others starting with their 1935 use the blue...

Two very nice looking Grays uniforms!

I have a question for you.

Since "Grays" was used on the Road jerseys, instead of the normal "Homestead", does that mean that the team used "Homestead" on their home jerseys or did both the Home and Away jerseys say "Grays"?

My assumption is that "Homestead" may never have been on the jerseys. They did have a "H" early on but I know they played "home" games over on the other side of the river in Pittsburgh and then later adopted Washington DC as a part time home in the 40s. That might be a reason we don't see "Homestead" and just "Grays".

I know I can't find examples of both home and away jerseys for most teams (money, lack of luggage room, press coverage?) and often in some team photos you see different jerseys, caps on a few players. While those could be spring training or pregame photos, I can imagine at times they worked with what they had, especially if they had to pick up players along the way to fill out a thinning roster.

I had an idea for an affiliate for Minnesota called the Twins Falls Twins, but I haven't been able to pull off a logo. I tried translating the elements of the current Twins logo (state outline from Minnesota to Idaho, generic bridge to the Perrine Bridge, river to... river, doofuses shaking hands to either the twin falls or the Twins Statue), but I just don't have the skills to make it work. I thought about posting my working version here, but it's... it's not good. Any chance you'd want to take a pass at a logo and a Twin Falls wordmark for the away jersey?
