"What If Series" New York Mets
Its now 1931 and the Metropolitans have shortened their name to the "Metros" and revamped their logo and their uniforms...

I love this new "What If Series" you've got going. I've often wanted to create a world that was for the most part like our own, at least on the surface, but was vastly different when you took a closer look. Kinda sad to see the 'Metros' nickname go, though. I liked that a lot. You have to change with the times though.

Love these so far. I'd like to see something in the other direction, too...maybe a 1954-to-present St. Louis Browns set, for instance. Are you planning to do these for all the expansion-era teams?

Actually these were the main three I had planned on doing... If I were to do any others it would only be some of the earlier expansion teams say up through the 70's... The team names of the Angels and Padres have history dating back to the early years of the Pacific Coast League... So these two would be the next in line if there is interest in doing them... The more recent expansion teams from the 90's to present don't do much for me so probably not going to happen for those teams...

I just finished the Browns from 1901 to 1953 so maybe this would be a natural continuation project. I might jump in.

My 2 cents...
This has been an awesome board for those of us that are less talented graphically - TX, No Pepper, Knuckler (just to name a few) but a much bigger thank you to everyone in this community in general who have taken the time to give to all of us to make this a better game to play - We cannot give enough gratitude. You have all done requests for me over the years and I have and will use those requests. I as well as the community thank you for all you do.. keep up the excellent work and many thanks |

Well said, tarmer ... I'll throw in my two pesos worth
, as well ... This thread is my all-time favorite of the Retros style, bar none !!! ... for I am ever so thankful that Tx steps in while Knuckler, the originator, is busy ... it's amazing with just a simple request that escalated into one of the best Gems of Logos and Unis, among the Legends ... Well said, mate ....

Work being used.......
TX I wanted to show your work being used....... I am currently running an on-line league (this is a historic league not fictional) but your logos and unis were so well liked the GM's voted for using the "fictional" deriviatives for this real league... will probably follow suit with single "A" affliates Player Report for #16 Dan Briggs |

Please do! Browns 1954-onward is a "what if" scenario I've been thinking of doing for quite a while now. Some proper uniforms might finally get me going in that direction.

I have all of the logos, but I have no way of knowing what was on this page... Maybe pm Bottom of the Sixth since they were made for him, maybe he will have some idea what they were... I have all of the logos and uniforms zipped up now and will give you a link to download them... These particular ones would be in this file, most likely in the misc teams file...
