Recchia's name file modifications?

if i want to add some names, should i just...

1. open with excel
(is there something better i should use? please let me know)

2. add names with # after it for frequency

3. make sure to save as DAT file.

is there any harm in editing this file, after i started using it for my league?

and is there any way i can adjust the frequency of what type of name is selected. i.e. have more int'l names present, since 1 of my leagues is all int'l

lastly, anyone know why the NAME files has upper case & lower case names or why there are duplicate names?

just increase # to increase frequency of that name being used

I suspect it's just because Jamie (sp?) didn't bother to make them uniform or delete the duplicate names like I previously suggested to him.

There are some other interesting names files out there that you might want to try. I have several on my computer. The only one I'd really like but cannot find is a Canadian one.

can you delete these?

It sounds like you, or someone else, changed the column formatting to a date style. Try reformatting the column:

select column, click from the menu format|cells, number tab, category general, ok
