2 Way Players

Hopefully an easy question, but Google could not answer it for me. How do I set a guy as a 2 way player? I don't see it in "Set Game Strategy" where it's always been, which is also what Google confirms. Please help.

You can set a player strategy for a player. From there, there is a checkbox for 'use as a 2-way player'

I usually do the opposite. I have a 2 way player who is a good hitter, but a crap relief pitcher. My manager is always wanting him to pitch and ruin games, so I update it so he can't use him anymore.

I turned it off for my league a couple years ago because it's set in the 70s when things like this were unheard of. There is one guy who was kind of middling along as a 2-way guy, was a replacement level pitcher once I took that off, and now seems like he's revitalized his career as a right fielder.

Yes. Even I think 2 years back Masyn Winn on the Cardinals had pitching and batter attributes. And I had to turn it off to make him turn into a decent SS.

Unfortunately this is what I was referring to in my original post. The option is not there. Anyone else know? Is it a bug?

Do you have 2 way players enabled in league setup? It's on the Stats & AI Tab, left side half way down.

On my roster screen under lineups when hovering over a 2 way players it only shows pitcher ratings. I hope this can be adjusted. Showing ratings by context or adding 2 more lines of ratings.

This is in Perfect Team. I got an Ohtani and want to use him as a hitter but there's no option to use as a 2 way player. He's got excellent hitting ratings.

If it's current-year Ohtani and not a special card, he'll only play DH this season...

Revisiting this thread with another question.

I'm playing as commissioner only but want to enable a player to be used as 2-way, how can I accomplish this while not hindering a players movement within the minors & major league? From the looks of it, I have to lock him to a team(currently in an A league team), enable "Use as a 2-way player", and then manually promote/demote him myself. Am I seeing that correctly or is there a global setting that will keep him being used as a 2-way player across all leagues and otherwise have the AI managing his development?
