I have purchased 23 of your 25 editions of this game. Up through 19 they were pretty much worry free and always had great support if and when it was needed. I purchased OOTP 25 and it has NEVER played well at all. Most of the time I could not get the game to even load and your support was absolutely pathetic. Now the game will download but just as before it will not allow you to manage a game, you go to the start game screen with the lineups etc hit the green start game button and the game crashes to the desk top----when I first reported this your "staff" couldn't even understand what they were being told even though the explanation was in detail and long. Simply put I bought your damn game and have never been able to play it, not the OOTP I started playing on the original game !!!! Because I have been unable to play 25 I have been playing 23 for the last two years, now out of nowhere, it was fine yesterday, it can no longer "write to" my saved game file----YOUR COMPANY HAS GONE FROM A CUSTOMERS DREAM TO A CUSTOMERS WORST NIGHTMARE !!! I know no one there gives a damn anymore so I am no longer going to support you I have purchased my last OOTP product ever. Besides the OOTP games I have purchased I have also owned your ITP baseball, your boxing game and 6 editions of FHM----I will never own anything else you market------I am sad to see a once magnificent company become nothing but a bunch of rip-off artists. Bad Luck in the future !!!

Well, sorry that you had issues. However, you have issues NO ONE ELSE has had. So did you ever think it was your PC with the issues over the game itself? Everything you explain sounds like a failing hard drive not an OOTP problem.

Well, it helps when people break their posts down into short paragraphs. I myself had to read your post a couple times, filter out the unnecessary words, and I'm still not sure what all the problems might be. Screenshots help too.

Sounds to me like a hard drive space issue. Confirm what drive the game is writing to and then double check that you have plenty of space. It's definitely happened to me where I thought I had enough space, but didn't.

These issues have happened on three different computers---none hard drive challenged, all of which handle games with much higher required specs----it is NOT the computer it is the crappy Korean game !!! This is your tech supports standard answer----"it's not our fault it is your equipment" What you mean to say is we don't have a clue how to fix our crappy game !!

Being here since 20 years you should know it isn't the best way to get help...

Did you send them your league files? This is how the problem I had with OOTP10 was fixed a long time ago, if your problem is unusual it's the best way for them to find and fix the trouble.

You are probably older than I am and you are acting like a child. We are not tech support, we are users JUST like you and none of us are having the issues you are having.

Also, this, from my understanding, is still developed in Europe as most of the devs seem to live in Europe. So calling it a Korean game, just because you are frustrated, does not help!

We do not know if you are using Steam or if you are using Fastspring. We have no idea what type of PC's you are using. What operating system. But then you attack the hand that is trying to help you. This is NOT how you get help by throwing a tantrum. You get help by keeping your head, giving as much information as you can and then, wait while people give you advice!

Also, when it is ONE person out of hundreds of thousands of users that is having this one specific issue, then it has to be you and not the game.

Thanks for sharing those links, Lans. It really highlights how futile it can be trying to help that guy.

For a company that supposedly "doesn't care about what the customer wants," as he claims, they sure implement a lot of our suggestions in every new version.

Anyway, mickey7, if OOTP19 works well for you, sticking with it seems like the best choice—for your peace of mind.

P.S. I don’t work for Out of the Park; I’m just a player like you. The difference is that I handle issues like an adult, not a toddler.

For any new prospective buyers that may read this thread I'm going to post a bit about my experience with tech support and OOTP and how it differed GREATLY from mickey7's. His claim is OOTP doesn't give a damn anymore etc. etc. etc., well that isn't what I've seen, nor have I ever had the problems he seems to be having playing the game.

The winter before v23 released I bought a new computer. Lot's of memory, and a 1060ti card (the first time I ever bought an "i" rated card). I played some higher end graphic games to see what the card could do and looked forward to getting v23 and import my game into it and continue. Never had any computer issues until I got v23. Randomly as I was playing out games the sound would hesitate and the game would exit to desk top. This continued to happen on a random basis with the only consistent thing being that hesitation in the sound meaning the game would crash in the next few seconds, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

The computer was three months old when I got v23, and OOTP23 was the only app that was exhibiting this crash behavior. Nothing had crashed in the three months before. I tried reinstalling OOTP and other tweaks but nothing helped. So after 2 weeks of this going on I posted here and sent in a ticket. I mean it can't be the computer if OOTP is the only app that crashes, right?

OOTP went out of their way to help me find the cause, from debug reports, sending in files, and even Matt messaging me with different things to try to find the cause. He even went into minute windows settings, that I had no idea existed, that might be able to help. He said he doubted they would, but to be thorough he thought we should at least try. I'd call that above and beyond for a developer trying to find solutions for a "one user" issue. Keep in mind he did all of this when his experience told him it was something in my computer causing the issue despite OOTP being the only app that crashed.

I was playing the fast springs version and OOTP also went to the lengths of sending me a Steam code to see if the crash still happened. Installed and ran the Steam version, the crash was still there.

This back and forth with Matt, Lukas, and other support staff went on for probably 2 weeks despite their experience telling them it wasn't OOTP. Not once did they say "it's your computer, there's nothing we can do".

Then a funny thing happened... I was using a different app, not even a game, and out of the blue I went from entering data to crashing to my desktop. It was the first time the crash happened outside of OOTP. First time I reloaded the app it worked fine. A day or two later I went to use it again and it crashed again just like OOTP. To bring this story to an end I contacted Matt and let him know the crash happened with something other than OOTP.

Long story short I sent in my new computer three times to the manufacturer before they finally said we can't find the cause or fix it and sent me a new replacement machine. Neither OOTP, or the other app ever crashed again.

For any prospective buyers looking into getting OOTP I think it is important that you get an accurate picture. For me, OOTP support went above and beyond even when everything in their experience told them it was not an OOTP problem.

I am deriving a probably unhealthy amount of satisfaction that in the first linked thread he complained that he had bought (among other things) 5 editions of FHM and now as of this thread is saying he's bought 6. So either he's lying to try and make himself sound like a repeat customer, or despite all of these supposed issues he went out and bought FHM11 in the interim.
