Can you lock teams so that they can only sign players from a specific state/country?

I am trying to create a 50 states league where each state is represented by players from their state. Is there a way to lock teams from acquiring players from outside their state?

I think each state would have to have its own league and then you'd have to associate the leagues if you wanted them in one massive league.

It's an interesting idea for fictional leagues though.

I'm pretty sure the only way to 100% do this would be to make each state its own country and then ban foreigners based on team location in "League Settings -> Rules".

You could try going into each state-based team's Team Settings menu, and from there going to both "Region" and "Draft Region" and setting both to "US STATE -> [HOME STATE]" but IIRC depending on the League Level you have this 50 States League set at the teams might just sign players from around the country anyway. It might have to be set as a Minor League or an Independent League.
