What's the best food served at any ballpark you've been to?
For me, Traverse City MI offers not only a Cherry Burger, but Petoskey's Horny Monk beer, a fine brew.
I lament the demise of the Fifth Third Burger in Grand Rapids. Never got the chance to try one, but heard they were the stuff of legend. Never had memorable food or drink at an MLB park...and that includes Tiger, Comerica, Wrigley, Cleveland Muni, Three Rivers, RFK, and Riverfront. I do miss the $8 deal from Comerica—a nosebleed seat and a slice of Little Caesar's pizza—that they used to offer in days gone by. Wonder how long it'll take to have someone recommend UberEats/GrubHub/DoorDash button be included in game? Markus...is there money to made that way?

Must have been a vendor dependent thing. I know they're all different. Nice to hear your mileage at Tiger varied. Gawds do I miss that place.
Want a bizarre story? I've not been a Detroit savvy navigator until GPS came out. Took my oldest (he was 7) down to Tiger to see one of the final 8 home games (Rangers). On the way, I see the bulk of Comerica and ask him if he wants to drive by the new park first. He's all excited. After a drive around the perimeter, we head for Tiger. "I know a shortcut," pops into my head, forgetting what's between the two locations. As I make a turn and realize I'm not just in 'the projects', I'm on Cass (flatlanders KNOW what I mean here) and I quickly tell my boy, "Roll up the windows, lock the doors. This is a baaaad neighborhood." Mind you, it's nearly 90 degrees and my old Escort Wagon had no A/C. We go about two blocks, we're sweating our collective ***es off...and he pops up with, "Dad! It can't be that bad a neighborhood. Look at that nice woman waving to us." "Kid, a lot of women are going to wave at us. They aren't our friends." Yeah, the ex-Mrs. Cobb didn't see the humor in this story. For those unaware, Cass is the stroll in downtown Detroit. I know that...now.

Leaving aside crazy expensive stuff/fancy restaurants (I hear the crab sandwich in SF is good but it's at least $25 per now so I've never had one)...I think you can't beat the Nathan's dogs at Citi Field. Braised onions, sauerkraut... just perfect. And weirdly better than the ones at the Cyclones' park, where you can literally see Nathan's a couple blocks away. Something about the prep at Citi is much better. It's the only ballpark food in NY I'll actually skip a meal elsewhere in NY for!
For sweets, the churros at the San Jose Giants games are so good they have alternate unis as the Churros If you've never had churros somebody made at home I think they're the closest you'll ever get.

I'm not at all surprised that NY field would have great dogs. NY is the hot dog capital of the world as I hear it. Unfortunately, I haven't been to the Apple since I was a boy...'bout the time Mantle was retiring.
Always wanted to try an authentic NY vendor dog, a REAL pretzel from a vendor too.

Safeco / T-Mobile has Kidd Valley, a really good local burger joint, in the stadium, but stadium Kidd Valley is a far cry from the real thing. The garlic fries were cool when they were first out…
This is surely cheating but my brother and I once scored tickets to a luxury box with free food. That ish was amazing. They had all the regular ballpark staples like nachos and hot dogs but also iirc fresh sashimi (it’s Seattle after all) and probably smoked salmon. Mmmmmm

I've never eaten any particularly good/memorable food at the ballpark, Cobb. (Many games at Shea Stadium.). However... there were these shopping cart giant soft pretzels OUTSIDE the stadium that kind of tasted like they were 6 years old and rolled around in my Grandma's rugs for that time. (something like that.) Now those were good...Aged just like a fine wine. Not entirely sure what was tasty about the funk.

Busch Stadium has plastic Cardinal helmets, big enough for an adult to wear, LOADED with chips, salsa, meat, and massive amounts of cheese, for $15. One person can't eat them all.
I have a very nice collection of Cardinal's helmets! |

SF garlic fries. Back when they were cheap and crispy.

Fresno, CA Fresno Grizzlies
Modelo Chelada (Tomato flavored beer). Perfect to catch a minor league game and I dont' even like beer that much but it felt like a meal and a drink at the same time..

The SJ Giants stadium is a total dump since it's so ancient. Hats off to you for watching games there.

Traverse City is known for its cherry-themed foods, including the Cherry Burger. Petoskey's Horny Monk beer is a local brew I've enjoyed.

You can’t be far from me. I’m in Grayling…and the Monk is one of my 3 favorite brews!
