Importing Save game from OOTP21?

Hi Guys,

Thank you for a great game, I bought the 21 version some time back, and have enjoyed it immensely. I wanted to see if there were upgrades in the new version of the game, so I bought the 23 version. Now I get an error when I want to upload my saved game (major Cubs dynasty), from the 21 version.
That can't be right? Can I change the name of the saved game file? Otherwise this is a major failure, just because I skip one version, you will not facilitate me keep enjoying the hours and hours of effort I have put into my saved game.
Please assist!

I believe the way to do it is download a free demo of OOTP22, import your 21 game into 22, then save. Then import the 22 save into 23.
