Minor Changes for OOTP 24
1. When the manager goes to the mound, could the dialogue match the situation, or at least have some variety? (Is this a folder like the trivia during saves that I could edit?). When I go out to calm down a RP who just walked the opposing pitcher on four pitches, I don't need him to tell me he's "stronger than when I threw my first pitch". Strength obviously isn't the issue. Control is. When a guy is pitching poorly, and I am just trying to buy time for the bullpen guys to get loose, it's idiotic for the guy to tell me how good he feels. The only benefit of this dialogue is when a guy says he's done.
2. I wish there were a way to protest bad calls. Maybe in the future we could request a video review of out/safe calls? With the animation, there are obvious bad calls at the bases. With the pitch location graphic, there can be awful ball/strike calls. [In the alternative, this may be another example of the animation and narrative not being synchronized.]. I wouldn't mind getting thrown out for arguing a series of horrendous calls against my team. The AI can manage in my place. 3. Really need the animation to correlate with the narration. It's confusing. I just had my CF ambling under a ball in the gap, only to have the narrative describe a double. OF running in to catch "deep fly balls". Runners obviously safe or out, but called the reverse. I realize the narrative controls, and the animation is just eye candy. But it's confusing.

They’re working on 3 every year. I like the idea of how 1 works now tbh and would even like it if pitchers got mad at you for taking them out earlier than they’re ready (or later for that matter, although that’s sort of already handled by players getting mad at you if they’re not performing well).

I could be wrong, but I think the VISIT_MOUND responses assume the manager/pitching coach wants to find out if the pitcher is tiring. Conditions may not be available to tailor those responses to other circumstances (e.g., walking the opposing pitcher on four pitches). Who knows? Maybe Matt can rig something up.

1A. Catcher visits to the mound. To help warm up relievers.

To correlate with the MLB rule changes for next season, there must be an option to limit pick-off throws to twice an AB.

3d Animation will never ever be fully accurate because it is an addon, a mod, a hack, all after the fact. 3d would require a complete brand new code for how games are simmed where the animation is the actual engine and deciding factor for games being played and the narration would then just explain what happens. |

IME outfielders only run through walls with user-created stadia, which is probably an issue with the user created stadia moreso than the 3D animations. But wait, you wouldn't know this because you haven't played the game in like 4 years. It's probably lasers.

It's gotten to the point that whenever certain people show up in a thread I just give up on it and never look at it again. Thanks Jimmy, saves me time I guess.
