Live start

Trying to live start after the world series and it doesn't behave live older versions of the game. Please help.

The Live Start is not really set up to allow you to start in the offseason. You'd probably be better off doing a custom start at some date while the season was still going on and playing from there.

Previous versions of OOPT, 20 and 21 start in the offseason with no problem. I was wondering what changed.

What actually happens when you do a Live start now in 22?

It sims the playoffs and then most of the month of november. It does not give the options on contracts or enter the next year. I just tried it with OOTP21 and it worked by starting the off season. I have OOTP 20 on another computer but there was a youtube series of someone who works for OOTP taking over the Reds.

I was hoping this could fixed as well as I'd like to start after the World Series as opposed to the end of the regular season (the latest you can start with a custom game). Like fyzx_teacher alluded to, the playoffs don't "end" until the Rule 5 draft starts (early December), even though all WS games have been played. So it completely skips over arbitration, awards, start of free agency, etc.

I've also run into a live start problem in that player injury histories are blank. For example, Tyler Glasnow doesn't show as being out with TJ surgery and everyone has Good health. I've reported it to OOTP customer service and a ticket was created and they said they confirmed it as a problem and are working on a fix.

The blank injuries are not something we can do anything about, unfortunately.

But the playoffs not ending properly, we can take a look at fixing that up.

Since it's likely the last patch of the year, we wanted to give it plenty of time to get tested. So please do try it out and let us know if it fixes things.
