Historical Sim Problems
I'mm trying to start a historical sim in 1921, with the color barrier disabled. I have the negro league teams active, but I can't seem to find Oscar Charleston, do I have to manually import him into the game?
Additionally, If I were to delete the Negro Leagues, would the subsequent Negro League players that would debut in the years to come just show up in the free agent pool? Or the Draft? Thank you. I appreciate the help. |

If you're missing players and you're really sure they're missing then import them.
Regarding anything else I've never started a game earlier than 1951. |

I haven't tried playing with the Negro League teams, but my understanding is that you can either:
1. Import Negro League players manually, or 2. Automatically import ALL minor leaguers which includes Negro Leaguers. I have only done #1. |

Import using the Negro League Player List available from OOTP forums, long time ago not sure where it is. U can import each player via import historical player option in Free Agent Screen.

JimiP is right, that's the file I use too. This thread has the file I believe.
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=322563 I have no idea the last time it was updated. While there are some issues, it works fine if you pay attention. |

3fbrown, cool. I have had this file for quite awhile, forgot where I got it from but it definitely works. Thanks for the confirmation.

Often there are guys named "Ballplayer" because they have no known first name in the records. That's not unusual, especially in early years.
As for Doc Seuss, I have no idea. Some really old dudes have funny names/nicknames like that sometimes, but obviously you can't be named after a guy that isn't alive yet. |
