Juan Berenguer

Long time lurker...I was finally moved to post due to the criminal omission of Juan Berenguer's nickname, Senor Smoke. How could this happen?!? Senor Smoke is one of the greatest nicknames in history, like The Microwave for Vinnie Johnson. Also, he had a pretty impressive career. Multiple WS championships. You want Senor Smoke on the hill for you in a clutch inning.

I expect a future patch will address this gross injustice!

If by multiple you mean ONE, then ok....he only played in the 1987 World Series.

And if the nickname bothers you that much, you can click in Editor on his player card and enter it yourself.

Added in the db now. Not sure when it will actually show up in-game though. Probably the next patch but no guarantees.

1984 with the Tigers also, though he didn't play in the series

Wait just a minute. Aurelio Lopez was Senor Smoke. Juan Berenguer was El Gasolino.

I think both were used for Berenguer, but yeah, probably should just let Aurelio Lopez have Senor Smoke on his own and use El Gasolino for Berenguer.

Ok, updated again in the db

Long-time member but almost-never-poster stopping by to say that I was a kid in Minnesota in 1987 and Juan Berenguer was definitely known as "Señor Smoke" when he played for the Twins.

Aurelio Lopez was Señor Smoke, may he rest in peace.
