Love OOTP but have hated the in game development reports for awhile, so I made my own

Have been playing OOTP for a long time but I've always really disliked the in game development reports. They are kind of hard to really get a good overall idea how your minor leaguers are progressing. So I took matters into my own hands and made a couple of spreadsheets to create my own macro look at my players development.

I've decided to share them with everyone. Now I am not an excel developer or anything but I think they came out pretty well. Some keys about these
  • As long as you keep old data you can somewhat customize your timeframe and look at week, month, year if you like
  • You must have 2 sets of data active at all times otherwise the formulas won't work
  • There are instructions on the first tab
  • Sorry but it doesn't seem to work on Macs but works well with Google Sheets
  • I can try to assist some but can't promise I'll check every day for questions
  • Follow the instructions and don't edit any formulas etc unless you really know what you're doing

Is it any way to export the info after every month to the spreadsheet? Or do you basically go player by player updating?

Yes it's a simple task of exporting (write report to disk) then copying and pasting the data in the sheets. If you save the customized view with all the categories listed in the instructions it will take you less than 5 minutes to update whenever you like

So I'm having trouble with one thing on your report. Your report is set up so that speed and baserunning and such are right after K's POT, however when I export they show up right near the end, after pitches. I don't know how to fix this.

I used to do the same thing, but you have better design. I like your colour choices and how you give the cells plenty of room.

I wish OOTP went back to their old dev reports. Spreadsheets are so much faster to take in than this sentence nonsense.

I've noticed OOTP does that depending where/how you are looking at players. I don't know why but that happens when you export something like a draft pool. If you are selecting the categories through the players tab on your rosters screen it should come out right. If speed/steal/running are coming up at the end you can try highlighting those columns then cut and paste them in the correct order on the pages where you paste the data and see if that fixes it.

Other than that I don't know why OOTP sometimes exports them in different orders

There should be a toggle option in OOTP to not include changes to overall and potential ratings the development report. I only want to see players with chages to individual skills.
